Job Description : Job Title: Assistant AccountantLocation: Dinnington, SheffieldHours: Full Time – based on siteReporting to: Finance ManagerThe role: Green Origins are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join us on our growth journey within an exciting sector. We are seeking an individual who will grow with us through study support or building on current experience to be a key member of the team. Supporting the Finance Manager & CFO both on day to day and projects.The role has a wide remit across all areas of accounts receivables & accounts payable to ensure everything is maintained in a timely manner, with the support of our Accounts Administrator and with ownership to complete accounting processes to trial balance stage. Working alongside the Finance Manager to produce the consolidated Management Accounts, Commercial Reporting and delivery of a clean year end statutory audit. Timely and accurate information is key to support the running of the Business and its financial assets.If your motivated, hardworking individual from a finance / accounts assistant/assistant accountant background who is seeking the opportunity to join a successful ethical business then this is the role for you.Key Responsibilities/accountabilities: · Support the Finance Manager with the production of management reporting, budgeting and robust financial controls· Assist in production of the Management Accounts for the business (Journals, provisions, Account reconciliation and posting)· Delivery of own tasks in a timely manner to ensure production of accounts· Assist on multi-currency accounts payable/receivables & raw material receipts– processing to SAP including our international bulk suppliers· Supplier account management & reconciliations· Processing of payments on the banking system & cover daily banking posting to SAP, as required· Create & analyse monthly sales data for ecommerce business in excel & produce Amazon sales information· Processing of the EU warehouse stock transfers, queries & customer returns on SAP· Support payroll data preparation, collation & provision of payroll information to outsourced provider· Support VAT compliance through production of system VAT returns· Support Finance Manager with Cashflow forecasting· Support Finance Manager with adhoc commercials & financial reporting (Year-end Audit)· Respond promptly to internal and external supplier requests· Cover for Finance Manager, as required· To work as part of the team and to contribute to the achievement of overall Finance objectives· Any other duties deemed necessary to fulfil the post both now and, in the future, to meet business needs.· Support CFO/CEO on adhoc reporting/projectsSkills: · Logical, methodical approach to work with high level of accuracy and attention to detail· Experience of accounts payable, receivables & general ledger management· Understanding of the management accounts process and producing financial information/reports· Supporting robust financial controls within a SME· Developed analytical ability· Ability to communicate confidently & pro-actively liaise with operational colleagues & Heads of Departments with a proactive approach to solving internal/external customer issues· Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines. Multitask and manage time/projects effectively· IT literate, competent user of Microsoft Office and accounting systems· Experience with SAP or similar accounting software· Team player & excellent people skills· Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience· At least 2 years’ experience within a finance, accounts or assistant accountant role· Experience using SAP is desirable but not essential· AAT or equivalent and interested in progressing with an accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA) or part qualified.Company InformationGreen Origins is a leading European superfoods business based on the outskirts of Sheffield.
