Job Description : The United Way Mumbai team is growing and we are looking for a great human resource professional to join us in building the team and the organisation. We have a great working culture and cross-functional teams managing training & development as well as work culture and ethos. We are now looking at having a dedicated resource to own & build the human resource function at UWM.
The key role we have identified for this position are:
Recruitment
Preparing vacancy notices and job descriptions in consultation with department heads and circulating the same
Screening of applications and creation of shortlist
First round of interviews
Campus interviews as required
Scheduling interview of shortlisted candidates with dept heads / COO / CEO
Reference checks
Issuing appointment letters and preparation of joining kit
Facilitation of buddy programme
Welcome and orientations
Coordinating inductions
Compiling annual staff plan in consultation with dept. heads
Exit interviews and formalities
Payroll & Admin
Maintaining staff folders and records
Maintaining and calculating attendance and leave records
Follow up with teams for utilization of leave / comp off
Coordination with Finance for salary processing
Coordination with Insurance agent for new employees/claims
Checking travel claims
Training & Development
Preparing training calendar in consultation with dept. heads
Organizing training programmes, coordination with trainers, venues, feedback mechanism, etc
Leading preparation for and coordinating annual offsite
Developing individualized training plan staff members in consultation with dept. heads and follow up on implementation during the year
Staff Welfare
Leading plans for celebrations, birthdays, work anniversaries (in coordination with the leadership subgroup)
Recommending and managing staff welfare initiatives
Other
First level of grievance redressal
Salary benchmarking in consultation with other organizations
Assist in planning capacity building initiatives for NGO partners / workplace campaigns
Remain updated on employment laws and regulations
Minimum qualification & experience: Post graduation in HR and a minimum of 4 years relevant experience
Remuneration: Subject to relevant qualification, experience & merit, Salary range is Rs 6.6 l – 7.6 l p.a
