Job Description : The Role
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you’ll be helping businesses join the mobile-first world by moving from expensive and inefficient paper processes to using GoCanvas’ powerful apps for smartphones and tablets.
Your mission is to contact new sales prospects, who you have identified through various outbound techniques and/or prospects who have signed up for a free trial on our website (inbound), to qualify them for the next step in the sales process, an online demonstration. You can expect to earn bonuses for making calls and scheduling demos.
This position is ideal for someone with extraordinary drive and customer focus is looking for a gateway to a career here at GoCanvas. Our BDRs have become Account Executives, Project Managers, and Onboarding Specialists, often in about a year. You’ll receive plenty of in-person training to become familiar with our culture, mobile app platform, and powerful product features.
Your Most Important Initiatives:
Contact (call and/or email) a high volume of leads per day to ensure that they are fully aware of the GoCanvas’ capabilities and that they are qualified to move on to a demonstration of the platform
Discuss the new sales prospects’ needs and qualify them for the next step in the sales process
Set up phone appointments for our Account Executives to demo our platform to new sales prospects
Keep CRM records concerning activities current; communicate timely and accurately with the Account Executive team
Work closely with sales to align created opportunities to monthly goals
Demonstrate awareness of the importance of building a strong image for self, products, and Company
Maintain a high level of professionalism
What Your Success Looks Like:
Converting a high percentage of those qualified leads into booked appointments for our Account Executive Team
Serve as the bridge between sales and marketing by working closely with marketing to align the quantity of leads with each month’s goal
Active contribution to the inside sales team achieving its sales goals
Rapid path to promotion
What You Bring:
A genuine passion for helping businesses join the mobile-first world, energized and excited to work within a fast-growing start-up in an explosive industry
Ability to pursue a structured, analytical and process-oriented approach, combined with a high degree of enthusiasm to meet challenging targets
Exposure to SaaS businesses and previous experience in inbound and outbound Business Development a bonus
The self-discipline to regularly utilise Salesforce.com and other business software to effectively plan and document the engagement progress in active accounts.
Ability to effectively write and present proposals, negotiate value, address resistance and close the sale
Customer champion, leading the charge to delight our clients and constantly impress them with the way we serve and support them
Results-driven, with a proven record of using reporting metrics/KPIs to track progress against goals. It is a given that you’ll be professional, hardworking and ethical.
Excellent at cross-functional collaboration and consultation, developing good working relationships with other teams, and able to balance multiple projects concurrently
Experienced SFDC users and holding proficient computer skills in Excel. Good communicator, able to clearly convey a persuasive rationale.
