We are looking for values driven people to join Be Caring as a Community Care Worker providing care across South Leeds. We are currently seeking to employ people across Tingley, East Ardsley and surrounding areas (WF3), providing high-quality person-centred care.
Pay: £20,800 – £21,840 per year (40 hours per week)
£10.00 p/hr on a standard shift (block) contract (working within a more defined geographical area on set runs) – paid from start to finish of shift
£10.50 p/hr on a flexible shift (block) contract (working on a defined shift pattern but working across areas to cover absences and build new runs – paid from start to finish of shift
Mileage – 40p per mile – average allowance £85 every 4 weeks

Working Hours and Shift Patterns
We are looking to recruit people to work for Be Caring on a week 1 and week 2 shift patterns, which includes both evenings and weekends, for example working every other weekend.
Morning shift: 7:00am – 2:00pm
Evening shift: 3:30pm – 10:00pm
The Role
You do not need care experience. If you have the right values, we will provide you with the training you need to be an outstanding Community Care Worker. As a Community Care Worker, you will provide care and support to meet individual personal care needs. You will:
Provide personal care that protect people’s dignity.
Promote independence using enabling approaches.
Support people to meet their outcomes, involving families and professionals.
Connect people to their communities accessing local support and services.
Deliver personalised care through individual choice and control.
Be a strong and effective communicator, documenting, reporting and sharing information with the right people at the right time.
Induction Training
All training is fully funded, and you will be paid for your time to complete the training. As a Community Care Worker, you will be provided with a comprehensive induction training on:
Community wellbeing, individual wellbeing and personal outcomes;
Fluids and nutrition;
Medication, moving and handling, basic life support and first aid;
Infection prevention and control, health and safety;

Professional boundaries, confidentiality, equality, and diversity;

Safeguarding, mental health and capacity
Support

Full induction and shadowing programme.
Training to complete the Care Certificate.
Access to additional training and qualifications through the apprenticeship levy.
