Position Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1.Employs agile development best practices and mind-set for design, architecture, coding, testing, managing source code, continuous delivery practices and quality reviews.
2.Design, build and support micro services primarily to support the consumption, transformation, data quality checks and redistribution of reference data to downstream consumers
3.Been a key contributor to major design decision around the platform.
4 Build distributed reliable & scalable data pipelines to ingest and process data streams real-time.
5.Work with globally distributed teams and stake-holders to define requirements and progress your deliveries.
6.Mentoring/coaching of the resources, including designs and code reviews, bringing TDD culture in application development.
7.Work with production support counterparts to ensure you code is documented and supportable in the production environment
8.Exhibits DevOps mind-set where team is accountable for delivering the feature from inception to sunset.
9.Strong collaboration with other teams for application development, integration and support.
10.The improvement of the SAFE Agile process through the delivery team.
Experience/ Exposure
Must Have Skills
1.Minimum 10 years+ on professional software development experience using Java technologies.
2.Hands-on experience in Core Java (1.8 or higher) with knowledge of multithreading, design patterns etc.
3.Hands on experience on Spring framework, Spring Boot 1.5 & above
4.Experience in building high performance/throughput Java Micro services.
5.Should have exposure to any one of the ORM tool – Hibernate/JPA etc.
6.Strong analytical and debugging skills with an ability to visualise processes and outcomes.
7.A good understanding of Oracle database technologies and relational data structures with the ability to perform basic database tasks (creating tables, writing SQL queries)
8.Excellent communication (Oral, Written) and teamwork skills.
9.Experience in development of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications.
10.Experience of building data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform GCP
11.Experience hosting an application on GCP using Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage.
12.Knowledge of Application Monitoring using Google Stackdriver
13.Prior experience working with: container technology such as Docker, version control systems (Github), build management and CI/CD tools (Concourse, Jenkins), and monitoring tools (App Dynamics, etc.)
Good to have skills
14.Prior experience with JMS/IBM MQ will be an added advantage.
15.Hands on experience to any In-memory database(IMDB) will be added advantage. Familiarity around data caching products would be added advantage.
16.Ability to pick up new emerging technologies and do POC around it.
17.Working experience in Banking & Finance domain.
18.Should have exposure on working with Agile Delivery Methodology
Education/Qualifications:
Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Engineering or Computer Science
