Within our ITX Compliance team in Birmingham we are looking for an individual with an interest in developing a career within an established team. Our team helps our clients with compliance across all taxes, statutory accounting and complex tax reporting. You’ll focus on bookkeeping and monthly reporting, drafting, auditing and filing of local statutory financial statements, and transaction processing.
After a successful pilot within CS over the past 12 months ITX Compliance are looking to expand the Project team and are seeking individuals with an interest in developing a career within an established team.
The Project Coordinator supports the management of the end to end VAT compliance (Data receipt, Data upload, Preparation, Review, Approval, Filing) process of a portfolio of clients sitting in each bubble. The portfolio includes a variety of clients with multiple deadlines across multiple jurisdictions. This role involves the coordination and oversight of, as well as driving delivery across, the relevant client portfolio. The purpose of the role is to support the client team members lead by managing the non tax technical elements of their role.
Example of the types of activities a Project Coordinator may carry out
1st Layer Supporting the Manager group to set up and plan for VAT compliance cycle Tracking and coordination against key milestones, progress monitoring and reporting and keeping the operational client team members notified Keeping our milestone upto date (flagging to users) Liaison with Resourcing to ensure allocation of required staff based on utilization etc
2nd Layer Budget monitoring and wip management support Management of client engagement activities (Advalue report) such as risk, scope, pricing and ensuring timetables are maintained Troubleshooting and escalations, eg potential budget overruns, delays etc
Who are we looking for? A willingness to gain knowledge of the global VAT landscape Excellent self-organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously Project management skills and experience required, Prince 2 qualification desired though not essential Ability to be resourceful, flexible and agile within a fast paced, dynamic environment of shifting priorities and demand. Ability to build and manage senior stakeholder relationships Birmingham based location is preferred but other locations will be considered depending on availability to travel
