Job Description : Forest Sofa Ltd is a well established and growing UK upholstery manufacturer looking for a confident, experienced person to join their finance team working 24 hours per week (days to suit) with a salary up to £30,000 pro rata reporting to the Finance Director.JOB SPECIFICATIONManagement Accounts and ReportsProducing monthly management accounts pack for review by Finance DirectorAnalysing costs incurred in the monthCalculating month end:AccrualsPrepaymentsDepreciationPosting bank transactions and reconciling the company bank accounts monthlyUpdating rolling cash flow modelProducing Weekly Sales and Outstanding order reports including commentaryProducing reports which covers but not limited to:Top selling product rangesModel sales by key customer accountsSpend reportsPayroll variance reportsWorking closely with Finance Director and Department Managers to produce rolling forecasts and annual budgetsPayrollProducing weekly and monthly payroll (when required)Checking weekly and monthly payroll calculationsProcessing payroll through the bankPosting payroll journals as part of the month end processPurchase LedgerWorking with Accounts Assistant to ensure that it is up to date and accurateProcessing purchase invoices as and when requiredAuthorising all purchase invoices, checking the invoice to the order and delivery noteProducing weekly supplier payment reports and authorising subsequent payments in the bankUpdating supplier price increases in stock control and maintaining a record of the prices which have been increasedCreating stock codes as and when requiredRaising purchase orders as and when requiredSales LedgerWorking with the Credit Controller to ensure that all known bad debts are accounted for as well as ensuring that the sales ledger is up to date and accurateProcessing weekly sales invoices as and when requiredProcessing credit notes once signed off by the Finance DirectorOther AreasAssisting in mid and full year stock takes, including stock valuationSupporting production with purchasing requirements and processesMaintaining company process flow documents and ensuring that they are being adhered toSKILLS AND EXPERIENCEAAT Qualified and Part CIMA qualifiedMinimum 3 years in a similar roleSage 200 experienceMicrosoft Office – Advanced in ExcelNumerical and AnalyticalExcellent attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communicationProblem solving and able to use own initiativeDriving licenceThere will be a need to work occasionaly at our other office based in BlackburnJob Types: Part-time, PermanentPart-time hours: 24 per weekSalary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per yearAdditional pay:Performance bonusBenefits:Cycle to work schemeEmployee discountOn-site parkingSchedule:8 hour shiftApplication question(s):Are you AAT Qualified?Education:Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)Experience:accounting: 3 years (required)Language:English (required)
