Job Description : Job SummaryPosition Description:The Production Quality Manager inspects the quality of the product while manufacturing is ongoing, and ensures that workers follow the requisite processes at the Chakan factory. The Production Quality Manager will also oversee overall production and work in targeted quality improvement programs, and in developing quality standards of new products. Also supports general company operations.Reports to: Nishant Ukey, Production PlanningPrimary Team Members and Positions:Tim Wilson, Project Manager, OwnerAditya Vaze, Head of OperationsAkash Ramesh, Engineering ManagerPosition Type / Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 48 hours per week, Monday to SaturdayLocationKharabwadi, Chakan, PuneAbout UsAt Wilson Composites, we are manufacturers of custom Fibertech Architectural Fiberglass (FRP) and (GFRC) products for the commercial construction industry. We specialize in the design, engineering, and fabrication.Responsibilities and DutiesProject Purchasing/Fabrication: 90% of the timeConducting a thorough check of all patterns and at least 75 % of all pieces being manufactured ensuring quality with regards to color matching, dimensions, part finish and texturingConducting a First Article Inspection for the first piece of every type, and only then giving a clearance for mass productionEnsuring schedule compliance of projects with regards to stipulated deadlinesCompiling reports in Excel of all parts checked and defects observed on a daily basisCoordinating with the drawing team as and when required, to ensure up to date drawings for checkingStudying and determining areas for improvement of qualityCompleting documentation and tracking data entry as required, including photo documentation, raw material batch documentation, production dates and moreVisiting our other supplier factories in the Pune region for quality checks occasionallySupport general company operations: 10% of the timeAssisting all teams in all miscellaneous operational tasksRequired Experience and QualificationsQualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Civil Engineering / Industrial Engineering.Areas of Experience: Four to Five years of experience in quality control and manufacturing. Previous work in a manufacturing or construction environment desired. Previous experience with fiberglass, GRC or carved stone a plusSpecial skills/requirements: Reasonable math skills and a problem solver. Proficient in latest versions of Microsoft Office. Strong work ethic. Works well as part of a team. Proficient at multi-tasking. Courteous and friendly communicator.
