Job Description : We are seeking a Senior Accountant for our client, to work within their accounting and reporting team based at Thornaby. During this 12-month role you will control and maintain all GL accounts related to the manufacturing facility and related sales office.Working Monday to Friday with additional hours at month end and occasional bank holidays.Responsibilities: Working for corporate finance reconciling all accounting entries in accordance with policies, procedures and accounting standardsClosing financial monthly processesEnsuring accurate and timely recording of year-to-date fixed assets, inventory valuations and operating expensesBudgeting, statutory reporting, plant overhauls and capital investmentsTranslating the characteristics of the organisational units into financial transactions processesManaging external filing requirements and auditsSupervising and controlling issuing of individual financial statements and reports required by customers and government entitiesFocal point with HR for payroll accounting and posting of related entriesLeading the statutory audit with external auditorsMaintaining fixed asset register and relevant lease accountingLiaising with Embedded Controller for improvement opportunitiesCo-ordinating the preparation of the site budget and forecast processEnsure all site inventories are accounted for correctly addressing variancesContributing to EHSSQualifications, skills and experience: University degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalentIn-depth knowledge of FI/CO areas of SAP and relevant modulesStrong accounting knowledge and analytical skillsUnderstanding of revenue, cost structures and ability to translate data into clear analyticsAbility to work independently and as a strong supporting team memberGood communication and interpersonal skillsTechnical accounting knowledge, covering financial and controllingProduct costing experience preferredStrong critical thinking skills and improvement mindsetIf you meet the criteria to fulfil this role please submit your CV.Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term, TemporaryContract length: 12 monthsSchedule:Monday to FridayReference ID: 1249197KC
