What You’ll Do
As an IT Engineer at Virsec, youbll be responsible for the below activities:
Initiate and lead major IT infrastructure projectsInstall and Setup VMware, Hyper-V, Xen, KVM virtualization Infrastructure.Install and setup container-based virtualization around Docker, Kubernetes etc.Install and setup SDN networksIdentity and access management (Active Directory, OAUTH, SSO, password vaults) for on-premises and public cloud services in AWS, Azure, GCP). Authentication and access control is envisaged at the network edge, workload edge and application edge.Administration of cloud-based services such as O365, AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.Perform installation, configuration and hardening of various flavours of Windows and Linux operating systems.Setting up, Configuring and Support internal employeebs laptops/workstations.Onboarding, configuring, and upgrading a new server hardware.Monitoring and maintaining optimal stat of an IT Infrastructure.Regularly patching Windows and Linux servers and applications.Perform root cause analysis of incidents.Documenting policy and procedures and maintain it up to date when changes occur.
Required Skills:
7-10 years of experience working on Linux and Windows IT infrastructure.Sound understanding of Networking technologies such as Firewalls, switching, routing, load-balancing and high availabilityUnderstanding of SD-WAN technologiesExperience in scripting and automationMust have good troubleshooting skill for the server or workstationbs hardware and software.Experience working on workload monitoring tool (Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana etc.).Experience, OR good knowledge about a log management tool (ELK, Graylog, syslog, etc.)Good understanding of the server and networking concepts (TCP/IP Model).Attend user tickets regarding hardware, server, and network.Must have hands on virtualization technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V, OR Xen) (at least one).Hands on with various operating systems and its internals.Good knowledge or experience working with network devices.Knowledge of network and end-point security best practices. Preferred Skills:
Good experience in implementing and managing Dockers, Kubernetes, and other containerization technologies; especially Rancher and OpenShiftComes from a Product development backgroundA self-starter mindset: we are a start-up and move fast, so itbs important you can keep upTeam-first mentalityProven track record of successful implementation of IT infrastructure projectsFlexible to work weekends and off hours if neededStrong problem-solving abilities with attention to details.
