The Position:
KAYAK & OpenTable APAC Finance Team is seeking a Senior Manager, to join a team of highly motivated individuals who love numbers, while having fun.
This highly visible hands-on role, reports to the Director, Accounting and Tax. You are a curious exceptional people leader who strives to empower, coach and inspire a hard-working team to support a fast-paced business. You thrive in a rapid-growth environment, with exceptional attention to detail, solution-focus, and accountability to deliver individually and through your team.
In this role, you will:
Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Tax to account for transfer pricing, and tax entries for the Region.
Mentor accounting professionals, cultivate open communication to empower and develop the team.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of the US GAAP general ledger for nine operating entities in APAC, with bridges to IFRS for local statutory purposes.
Act as the primary contact for the Group Reporting team based in the US to confirm compliance with all accounting standards, implement internal accounting controls and procedures.
Manage the preparation, audit and lodgement of stat accounts across APAC.
Be responsible for accurately and efficiently handling the month-end close process and the day to day accounting processes for both OpenTable and KAYAK.
Prepare the regional flux analysis and management commentary. Review the balance sheet reconciliations and legal entity analysis prepared by the accounting team, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
Lead and support finance projects and pivotal initiatives. Improve the efficiency and effectiveness processes to support growth.
Strive to continuously improve the way we work and collaborate within finance and the wider business.
Please apply if:
CA/CPA qualified with a minimum of 3 years of post qualified experience. (Big 4 manager experience in audit is desired).
Group accounting and/or controllership experience in a standard methodology environment with a focus on completeness and accuracy.
Solid understanding of complex digital revenue models, accounting information flows and matrix operating structures of two distinct organisations.
Proficient with accounting software (NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, etc).
Proven experience within a multinational environment, including intercompany and transfer pricing.
Interpersonal capabilities, synthesising technical information and sophisticated fact patterns for a senior finance audience and distributed teams.
People management, coaching and development experience.
