What you’ll be doing…
As Senior Manager, Campaign Development for the VCG Customer Communications Team, you’ll lead the group that oversees email campaign development, coding and production.In this role, you’ll partner with our Adobe Center of Excellence to ensure efficient development of email templates, content blocks and code fragments which will support more than 10 billion annual communications to our customers delivered with the highest quality standards.
In this dynamic role, your core responsibilities will include:
Maintain a High Quality and Efficient Email Development Process
Ensure effective coding of campaigns, oversee template and form development, supervise rendering tests, and manage configuration and deployment.
Lead the development of appropriate email requirements and standards to ensure messaging is being clearly conveyed to the right audience in the proper format.
Oversee development and management of highly personalized campaigns by using data driven dynamic content.
Validate rendering across devices, operating systems, browsers, and ESPs.
Maintain standards for effective list hygiene, inbox placement, and email deliverability.
Develop “best practices” email guide and influence email strategy to ensure the team is effectively communicating to customers.
Perform end-to-end quality assurance tests on email, push and in-app marketing campaigns, including CSS/HTML validation, link validation, usability and compatibility testing with a keen eye for detail.
Build a process within the team to review and validate campaign details, clean up email templates in development and proactively identify solutions for bugs identified during QA.
Leverage internal tool sets and automation tools to provide final quality assurance, including email template render as well as data mappings and personalization elements.
Proactively manage development process, identifying roadblocks and potential solutions before timelines and launch dates are impacted.
Develop an effective workflow process to ensure the smooth translation of campaign concepts into functional and appropriate HTML templates.
Developing and Mentor Campaign Development Team
Design team structure and staff.
Manage employee performance & KPIs.
Mentor team and provide professional development.
Facilitate career growth & encourage planning discussions.
Establish and train best practices for development.
Where you’ll be working:
In this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
What we’re looking for…
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Four or moreyears offront-end development experience.
Email development experience required.
Willingness to travel, when required (limited).
Even better if you have:
A degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Design, Management Information Systems, or a related IT or technology field.
MBA or other Master’s degree.
Adobe Campaign, AEM, AEP or equivalent marketing technology certification(s).
Proficiency with media queries and technical scripting languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RPL, Python, etc.
Minimum three years experience managing a development team.
Working knowledge of a “Tier 1” commercial email deployment platform.
Experience with commercial marketing clouds, such as Adobe Campaign, Responsys, and/or Salesforce, and experience building marketing workflows with multiple data sources.
Knowledge of campaign performance analysis to drive continuous improvement.
Experience with solution design, development and technical consulting through collaboration between business and IT teams.
High degree of independence and resourcefulness – ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize responsibilities and meet deliverable dates independently.
Experience being a team player and working across multiple teams to support varied business objectives.
Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Teradata SQL, ETL and data transformation.
