Position Overview:
The Technical Manager would be responsible for leading a team and working hands-on with products using .NET technologies. He/she would be responsible for the overall success of the software products and processes. Would be responsible for product deliverables and developing the skills of resources under him/her.

Position reports to Managing Director

Job Responsibilities

Define goals, creating release plans and handling distribution of tasks.
Develop and deliver software products and processes.
Monitoring of the product life cycle.
Evaluation and implementation of product optimizations.
Maintain adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc.
Participate in the development and review of documents to comply with SDLC methodologies [e.g. Engineering Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), estimation, Solution
Design Document (SDD) and Software Architecture Documents (SAD)]
Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle from initial requirements gathering and design through to implementation and support.
Author technical design specification document and drive the solution though the software development life cycle
Research and recommend options within the specification, budget, and schedule.
Implement solutions on the Microsoft .NET platform, within an existing application framework.
Be a key contributor with all research and development (R&D) tasks and expected to show keen interest in learning new applications and tools.
Maintain effective and consistent communication within the team, with peers, the leadership team, and the peers in other IT groups.
Provide thought leadership and technical guidance to all the team members.
Use strong analytical/decision making skills to proactively foresee probable issues, work with team to identify solutions, select and implement most effective solution.
Sound analytical skills and problem-solving skills needed to manage multiple technical challenges simultaneously for each product assigned as per the need.

Responsible for training and growth of the team members under him/her which includes planning for their career progression and optimization of competencies.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical qualification.

Experience & Technical Skills

10+ years of application development and IT implementation experience.
7+ years’ experience developing web applications on the .Net framework (C#, MVC and ASP.NET as well as CSS, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, and MS-SQL Server).
5+ years in the role of Technical Manager.
Previous experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) — SOAP, WebAPI and REST web services.
Strong experience with the following technologies: C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, WCF, ASP.NET Web API, LINQ, Entity Framework, Unity (DI), JQuery, SQL, PostgreSQL, MySql, SSRS, SSIS, HTML and CSS.
Experience working with internal teams and 3rd party vendors in a collaborative model

Preferred Skills

Experience with Machine Learning
Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
Experience with Python, SignalR
Experience with Power BI, SOLR and Graph database
Experience in the use of agile processes and test-driven development
