Job Description : SUMMARY
Software Engineer II will be working with a team of developers and business analysts to develop new products/enhance existing systems in place. To be successful in this role, one must demonstrate their knowledge of critical thinking and problem solving.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
The Role & Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software in the area of Distributed side
Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
You will work closely with other technology teams and internal end users to deliver solutions that drive a variety of trade businesses
Optimize application for maximum performance, scalability and high availability.
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Develop overall concepts for improving the user experience within a business webpage or product, ensuring all interactions are intuitive and convenient for customers
Have a good eye for detail and be able to work to tight deadlines.
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Mentor and orient people in right direction
Required Skill-set
Bachelors or Master’s degree, further education or experience in engineering, computer science or other technical related field
You are an expert/master in the below;
HTML/HTML5 (High Proficiency)
CSS/CSS3 (High Proficiency)
JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks
Understanding of OOP (Object Oriented Programming)
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Dreamweaver & Illustrator)
Detailed experience with coding and the ability to troubleshoot and analyze websites using HTML, CSS and comparable languages
Up to date with cross-browser and cross-platform issues
Develop overall concepts for improving the user experience within a business webpage or product, ensuring all interactions are intuitive and convenient for customers
Collaborate with back-end web developers and programmers to improve usability
Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving, analytical, organizational skills and attention to detail and excellent follow-through
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as git/git-flow is must
Openness for acquiring new skills and learning new technologies in short time span
Added advantage if candidate has;
Hands on Experience with .net
Open source contribution
