The warehouse planning department is integral to support the operation to plan warehouse labour to achieve the maximum performance potential. Our success depends on having highly engaged managers with a can-do attitude, a passion for our business and the skills to get the thing done right the first time

Role:

Reporting to the Planning Manager who splits his time between the Sainsbury’s Clothing Distribution Centres in Bedford & Shire Park
Will have limited time with Planning Manager and must be able to manage role and responsibilities by making independent decisions on behalf of the business, will be supported by an FLM mentor on the night shift at the start
Attend a monthly meeting with the Planning Manager / FLM’s, which is normally 06:30 – 08:00hrs although times may vary
Produce the actual daily labour plan for 8 warehouse departments
Produce the pick & load plan for the operational departments
Coordinate training and produce training plans
Manage a small team and encourage an open engagement environment
Key Competencies

Strong attention to detail and task management skills
Ability to work through challenging situations and to proactively take action without instruction
Analytical, ability to interpret information for the benefit of the business
Collaborative team player with interpersonal skills to engage and influence multiple stakeholders
