Role Purpose:
The Regional Industry Consultant is a new role that brings in deep domain expertise for Life Science industry through their vast experience and thought leadership on the industry/ segment.
Industry consultant will support sales teams articulate outcome-based messages to the “C suite” at customer.
They partner with the regional marketing and sub- regional leadership teams on jointly creating a short/ mid- term strategy.
They partner with regional functions (MA/Commercial ops )for enhancing RA’s coverage and competency in the said segment/ industry.
They are also responsible to support key company/ regional initiatives, working closely with the global Industry/Process leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide domain expertise on particular industry/ segment requirement i.e. FDA complaince/21CFRPart 11 in Lifesciences, stockpile management and material tracking in mining , smart manufacturing , Process Batch etc.
Deliver talk around emerging industry/segment trends and how they are relevant for a particular customer, the business benefits associated with these and how Rockwell can help achieve these outcomes.
Deliver initial plant walk and initiate consulting services to drive customer outcomes (productivity/OEE/Optimization/ROI)
Support sales in building C- level engagement for target accounts by driving business outcome discussions and be an advisory to identify necessary ecosystem to deliver outcomes
Single contact for global Industry interface and ecosystem on critical projects
Participate in Industry forums and tradeshows – speaking engagements, working on stands
SI/Partners enablement (training and credentialing) through industry domain knowledge
Identify gaps in industry coverage and identify partner to fill those gaps
Provide Industry insights and Value preposition to Sales enablement for competency development (C level messaging / playbooks)
Support driving company initiatives (Strategic accounts/Process/ICT/Sensia/EVacceleration etc)
Drive Industry affinity team calls
Provide industry insights during QPR
Support Industry influenced accounts in the region (focused and strategic) and their C level relationships to develop them as future potential Enterprise accounts
Advise business units /marketing to identify and build Industry repeatable application/ solutions
Industry BSR and definition of winning across the region; and monitor execution
Provide insight to BU’s on Solution and technology gaps
Requirements:
Bachelor/Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering or other technical fields
Minimum 10 years of experience in Life Science industry with solid technical knowledge and commercial experience.
Intermediate level of expertise in our products. w Intermediate level of expertise in Training. w Intermediate expertise in Prospecting & New Customer Development, w Project / Implementation Management and Sales Fundamentals with a basic level of expertise in Market Research & Analysis (Market & Economic Trends, Customer Buying Behavior, Competitor Research)
The ability to manage complex, multi-month projects and personnel. Proven track record in developing required training and presentation material content.
High level program management capabilities to put the structures and align the activities to be done.
Exhibits proficiency and personal accountability for project performance and meeting customer needs
Geographic understanding of AP as a region is highly desirable
Bilingual language skills for Mandarin and English is preferred
Ability to travel greater than 30% of time (global travel may be required)
Exceptional listening and interpersonal communication skills, with very high orientation towards collaborative winning
Strong self- drive and ability to create a mindshare by being seen as a thought leader
Experience of working in a matrix environment highly desirable
Very high degree of customer orientation
