Job Description : Assistant manager- Indirect Tax – US Sales and Use Tax – (220002FX)
Description
The position in discussion is with the Sales and Use Tax team in Indirect Tax practice at KGS. The individual would be reporting into the Associate Director / Manager within Tax – Indirect Tax practice at KGS. This team is a part of Indirect Tax – SUT Compliance core Service Delivery business unit of KPMG Global Services.
This role is an integral part of the firm’s strategy to enhance innovation, build scalability, and improve profitability, globally.:
Implement client’s engagements from start to finish (planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects).
Maintaining and developing strong client relationships on various state and local indirect tax consulting/compliance engagements.
Researching and analyzing a wide range of tax issues and tax implications.
Managing engagement workflow, engagement team resources, and engagement billing.
Assisting with drafting and presenting new proposals to new and existing clients.
Providing leadership, counseling, and career guidance for the development and motivation of the engagement team.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum Master Degree from reputable universities with excellent academic result, majoring in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 4-5 years of professional experience, preferably in a Big 4 consulting firm
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel).
Behavioral / team skills
Willing to work hard, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
Strong analytical and advisory skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work in fast moving and demanding environment.
Strong commitment, multi-tasking and team player.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (including strong presentation skills).
Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Strong experience in staff and tax management.
Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills.
