Reports directly to Head Baker and Executive Chef. Baker CDP – Service is primarily responsible for planning and managing preparation in the bakery section.
Known as the assistant to the Head Baker or the Head Baker’s chef second in command is responsible for a range of duties from including planning menus, training new staff, ordering and recording inventory.
Has proven success in the kitchen as a confident, effective, and efficient team member. Baker CDP-S will be in charge during the Head Baker absence. Is well informed about the latest trends in the culinary and nutrition fields. Implements gained knowledge in The Bridge | Lifestyle Hub operations.
Is responsible for presenting and communicating transparent inputs that will both represent the vision, values, and full offerings of The Bridge Lifestyle Hub.

| KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
| OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
Assists the Head Baker in the coordination of all bakery preparation, from ordering, prep through service, and feedback.
Maintains all equipment in good condition and caring of all the necessary implements and tools.
Monitors the quality of all bakery items – has an eye for detail and is able to oversee a multiple-level operation.
Tracks, records, and maintains inventory stock of all bakery items.
Has initiative and leadership skills, is working opposite shifts to HB.
| ADMINISTRATION
Assists in maintaining up-to-date recipes technical sheets – Baker Master sheet as well as bakery recipe folder.
Gathers and updates training tracker of the Bakery department of the BOH team.
Supports FOH Manager in updating allergy charts concerning the pastry and bakery section.
Checks Food and Safety forms are carried out and filled for the bakery section.
Supports and participates in audits being conducted by Abu Dhabi Municipality and Health Authority.
Monitors, and supports tools and technology along with adaptive tools to facilitate work activity.
Reveals capability to accustom to the new, diverse, or evolving tasks.
| INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CUSTOMER SERVICE
Supports and promotes initiatives carried by the Marketing | PR team and suggests its own ideas.
Ascertains a high degree of anticipation and maintains a Net Promoter Score.
Engages with guests, members, Taste team supports their enquires and concerns. Is welcoming and accommodating when discussing any requests.

Performs any reasonable task required that might be outside the job scope in the spirit of collaboration.
Complies with all portion size quality standards department rules Policy and Procedures to Prepare all products.
| SUSTAINED LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT
Participates in TB training sessions and communication briefings as requested by management.
Assists HB in hiring and training new bakery staff.
Supports junior bakery employees, encourages direct feedback as well as carries out performance reviews of bakery section staff in the agreed time frame.
Maximizes opportunities for self-development to upgrade his/her knowledge and skills by actively participating in TB internal and external initiatives and App.
Suggests changes and improvements to existing procedures and recipes – across the menu.
Seeks future possibilities for self-growth and development.
Researches new advances in gastronomy, well-being improvement, and hospitality trends. Shares his research with his team members and head office.
| HYGIENE & SAFETY
Maintains a high level of personal hygiene, seeks feedback on areas of a shortfall, and complies with the Grooming procedures, and ensures that all staff members follow Exp. procedure.
Is aware of allergens used in each recipe and is able to safely recommend an alternative, when needed.
Complies with all Health & Safety regulations while performing daily duties at all times.
Takes responsibility for reporting any hazard and follows up to ensure the execution of required actions.
Represents good personal hygiene, and demonstrates comportments associated with it such as hand-washing, reportable illnesses, etc.
| POSITION REQUIREMENTS
| EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Courses in the following integrated modalities will add value to the preferred candidate. Please send any additional qualifications, interests, and experiences that contribute to your holistic lifestyle
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders, and dough sheeter.
Certification from a culinary school is a plus.
Excellent time-management skills and ability to plan large-scale operations.
Knowledge of alternatives to white flour and refined sugar. Being able to follow trends in pastry.
Ability to lead, organize, and train team to a sufficient level in the absence of HB.
Understand waste management and how to be cost-effective.
Must be able to relate to all levels of management.
Resourceful, forward-thinking, innovative, and committed.
Must be willing to add value to enhance health, safety, and productivity as well as maintain TB to thrive on being a smoke-free workplace.
