What you’ll be doing
Support internal partners in Growth, Product, Technology and Operations with ensuring a scalable network of relevant partners in the banking space with a view on Monese’s B2C and Banking-as-a-service (BaaS/ SaaS) businesses, both in the UK and in Europe
Contribute to banking strategy setting
Opportunity identification particularly in the areas of payments, banking scheme connections, FX/ remittances, open banking, payment cards, cards and cash top-ups
Project or partnership evaluation touching on various relevant angles, e.g. performance, commercial benefit (e.g. creation of business cases), integration effort, risk and compliance
End-to-end banking partnership project management
Partnership agreements – commercial and involvement in legal
Internal prioritization and sign-off, incl. regular stakeholders in Risk, AML, Infosec / Privacy, Legal (e.g. terms & conditions), licensing
Coordination with external delivery partners (e.g. processing, issuing, money loading and card scheme partners) via the appropriate forums and channels
Tag-teaming with delivery teams, i.e. Product (incl. design), Tech, Marketing & PR, Operations, Compliance, Finance / Treasury
Driving and leading partner projects into implementation
What we are looking for from you
You are a self starter, who is comfortable working independently. Curiosity is one of your defining traits: You learn fast and are willing to dive deep
You bring a can-do attitude and enjoy getting your hands dirty
Experience of building and managing successful supplier partnerships and leading joint projects in payments, banking or payment cards, preferably in the B2C space
Track record of delivering results in fast-scaling digital technology environments, ideally in the wider fintech sector or in state-of-the-art transactional banking – 5+ years of relevant professional experience
You think commercially, being able to discern facts beyond story-telling and make-believe. You are familiar with commercial contracts and negotiations and you excel at stepping into the shoes of our partners driving for win-win outcomes
You bring an analytical mindset, comfortable with numbers and at ease when it comes to commercial modeling and high-level forecasting
You like working alongside product development and technology teams as well as different operations teams, across all levels of the organization
You take pride in making the team succeed – you take ownership and help colleagues beyond the narrow limits of a role description. We can only win together
You are a confident, mature and open-minded professional who does not despair of uncertainty and changing environments. You enjoy interacting with all levels of stakeholders and partners
