We launched in 2016 to build a global, AI-powered platform that digitises the entire insurance process, making it transparent, less costly and more reliable.
Businesses of all sizes embed Open’s car, home and travel insurance into their digital experiences. Our consumer (B2C) brand is Huddle and we also offer bespoke white-label solutions for fast-growing digital platforms (B2B). We work with many of Australia and New Zealand’s largest brands and leading tech companies such as Telstra, Plenti, ahm, and EnergyAustralia.
Today, we’re a diverse team of 50+ and thrive on solving problems to revolutionise the world of insurance. We’re proud to count Airtree Ventures and Hollard Insurance as our investors, and have raised over $25m to date with more significant funding to follow. Open is growing fast and in 2020, doubled our growth and expanded to New Zealand. But the best is yet to come, we plan on doubling growth again in FY22 while expanding to the UK.

About the role
We’re looking for someone keen to help us scale our consumer brand, Huddle globally. In this role, you will be forming the foundation for our marketing analytics. Your work will inform growth development areas and what our team should work on next, having a direct impact on how we add value to the company.
There will be a lot of scope for career development in this role, with the opportunity to learn, work across a range of problems, make your mark in the company and interact, work with and learn from a range of people in the business.
You’ll be doing
Building robust data models, reports and visualisations to support the Marketing team.
Conducting deep-dive analysis to help us understand our business and its process. Making an assessment on what to prioritize to help the Huddle team make key decisions around what will boost Growth.
Working closely with the marketing team to help them understand who our customers are and where the opportunities lie, helping to increase growth.
Analysing our acquisition, conversion, and user activity. Helping them to understand the data behind the activity.
Assessing the impact of our marketing activities. Setting up tracking and testing/experiments.
Helping to optimise how we communicate and display our product across our website/app and channels so that customers can see and understand our product.
What you’ll bring
You’re curious, you enjoy taking ambiguous problems away and collecting information, digging into data to assess potential solutions.
You have strong analytical skills and a track record of delivering projects.
You have a good technical skillset. SQL is a must, R/Python is a plus.
An understanding of testing and experimental design. You’ve set up and run A/B tests before.
(bonus) Experience in Growth or B2C Marketing, bonus points if you’ve used google analytics, Facebook business manager or other SEO/SEM tools.
Role location
Our offices are located in Sydney, Sunshine Coast, Auckland and Queenstown. This role is flexible around these locations.
