Job Description : Are you a confident finance professional with experience of working on electronic purchase order and purchase ledger systems?Join National Star and lead the team responsible for ensuring that all authorised invoices, expenses, and payments due are paid on time and within the terms specified.You will work with your team to manage payment runs to our suppliers and ensure staff expenses and company credit cards are paid.Although you’ll be using your initiative and working independently during your role, teamwork is also essential. You will work closely on the timing of payments with the Financial Accountant and with the Finance Lead- Income to support cash flow forecasting across our charity, which currently has an income of £30 million.Leading by example, you’ll be customer-focused and a first-class communicator, who is driven to continually improve our processes so that we become a more efficient and effective organisation.By the very nature of the role, you will need to be a creative problem-solver, who can adapt to changing circumstances with flexibility and good humour. A natural coach, you’ll relish the prospect of supporting and developing two finance assistants so that they excel at their roles.Ideally, you’ll have a working knowledge of Excel and Sage 200 and hold an AAT qualification at Level 4 or above.The role is primarily based at our picturesque offices at Ullenwood, Cheltenham, with the flexibility to also work from home. No car, no worries.
