Job Description : This position will be part of the CSBB Decision Sciences. We support the buildout of a strong decision science foundation to identify and aggregate data across transactions, interactions, customers, employees, and products for the purposes of monitoring regulatory, operational and conduct risk, including sales practices. These responsibilities will enable near real-time monitoring and surveillance and will provide key metrics, recommendations, and alerts to enhance accountability throughout the branch leadership structure.

We are seeking an experienced individual contributor to play a critical role in enhancing the front line defense in Consumer Banking. The incumbent will build a strong analytical foundation using advanced data-driven quantitative analysis to proactively identify risk trends across interactions, customers, employees and products with a goal of strengthening Consumer Banking’s risk mitigation effort.

The primary focus will be supervision of the Consumer Banking but will also extend to other risk management functions such as providing operational support to aid in the delivery of products and services to customers. Candidates must have excellent programming skill and strong quantitative analysis experience to solve real world problems.

Responsibilities may include:
Learn and identify conceptual and quantitative solutions to meet the constraints of business requirements.
Leverage data, business knowledge, strategy and predictive models to inform and influence line of business strategic planning in long term plan development
Identify, develop and implement advanced quantitative models or algorithms to increase proactive detection of risk patterns and trends by researching and testing data to determine those with the most predicative power.
Build and implement advanced quantitative models or algorithms that can be used for specialized surveillance and to proactively identify and isolate relevant emerging risks across processes, products, interactions, transactions and other macro factors.
Leverage ‘Big Data’ analytic tools and platforms like Hadoop and HIVE to implement quantitative solutions
Provide automated, user-friendly and data-driven solution for Community Banking Centralized Supervision and other business partners Partner closely with other Consumer Banking Risk Management to support Branch Quality Reviews, Compliance Reviews and other activities where advanced data mining and / or modeling would add value
Improve risk monitoring and issue detection by enhancing traceability of banker and customer activities
Work with large databases and process flow through complex logic or merging algorithm.
Use SQL, SAS or other statistical / BI tools to create and maintain MIS, support data mining and analytics insights.
Assist in the data architecture and data cleansing methodology and implementation.
Create and maintain various quantitative tool documentation and metadata.
Write presentation deck, and communicate results to internal and external customers.
Strengthen data resolution, process integration, usage testing, implementation and enhancement on Bank Supervision Platform
Required Qualifications: 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling demonstrated through work or military experience; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

Desired Qualifications: Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong analytic and creative problem solving skills.

More than 6+ years of working experience using SAS, SQL and/or other statistical / BI tools.

Prior experience developing and implementing models in Teradata, Hadoop or Aster environments.

Prior experience working with advanced analytic capabilities and experience in Big Data capabilities.

Experience in detection of risk pattern and trends
Experience in building, testing, automating, documenting and optimizing data infrastructure.

Ability to work with large databases and process flow through complex logic or merging algorithm.

Familiar with Wells Fargo Consumer Banking, fraud risk/operation, or is a proven fast learner of data / business knowledge.
