Job summary
EU Fulfilment Learning Design team is seeking a Instructional Designer to own the creation of learning experiences for all FC Associates across the Europe region. The role incumbent will possess a creative, “sleeves rolled up” hands on approach to understand the working environment and develop content for cutting-edge training products.
The solutions you create will enable improved employee experience, shorten lead times to proficiency, and provide performance support at the point of need. This includes performing needs assessments to identify learning objectives with business stakeholders, designing, testing, and rapidly iterating instructional content for your audience, and developing knowledge and performance observation assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of training.
Overall, this role will be key in designing and developing learning experiences that rely heavily on technological solutions. Some of this work will include working with simulations, xAPI, dynamic triggering, Learning Record Stores, app-based devices, and/or using big-data to target performance support features.
Candidate should have experience working autonomously across multiple global locations, expertise in developing and maintaining strong business relationships, collaborating across different fields of expertise, and implementing learning project plans. This individual must thrive in a fast paced environment and develop innovative solutions.

Design and Develop: create performance-focused training content that engages our learners, ensuring content is ready for localization and deployment in international marketplaces.
Design and Develop: create outstanding learning tools, performance support aids, practice tests, online tutorials, and other materials to meet identified needs.
Design and Develop: create tests, quizzes, and other assessments to ensure learner understanding and performance.
Deliver Results: manage your projects amidst ambiguity, competing priorities, and challenging deadlines.
Travel may be required up to 10%
This role can be based in Barcelona, Spain or at one of our regional offices in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic or Slovakia that are near Amazon Fulfilment Centers.
Key job responsibilities
Partner with key regional stakeholders such as Safety, Operations, Process Engineering, Tech, Subject Matter Experts & WW/Local partners to create content for new and existing process updates / deployments
Partner with regional In-Station / On-Road / Management Training execution teams to deploy and continuously improve delivered training content.
Working closely with Learning Experience Design Manager and Peer Instructional Designers to adapt project updates from other EU countries in order to expedite change.
Lead content continuous improvement based on business KPIs and content data points such as xAPIs, surveys and assessments.
Lead content development for regional, EU or WW projects to support business initiatives working with Learning Experience Design Manager, in addition to supporting the creation of content, for EU wide deployment.

No two days are ever the same in this team, as you’ll be asked to create instructional design storyboards, develop learning experiences for cutting-edge training products, lead projects, and engage with key stakeholders throughout the network. Working with peer instructional designers, media designers, program managers and communities of practice, you’ll create and deliver world-class development material that will benefit all associates across the EU network- and beyond!
About the team
This is a multidisciplinary team of instructional designers, media designers and technical program managers that is incredibly collaborative, fun, and focused on doing great work while learning and growing.
Masters Degree in relevant discipline
Experience in Software/Web Development or familiarity with Javascript is highly appreciated
Experience with world class process development tools and techniques
Experience using data collection, research, and analysis to evaluate project outcomes and improve individual and organizational performance
Experience with emerging tech trends for content creation (e.g., web-based Learning Platforms, Social Learning, Gamification, Virtual Reality, Augmented reality)
