As a Information Security Engineer, you will play an integral role in executing on security strategies to protect sensitive company and customer data. You will work alongside groups within the business and IT to design and implement processes, solutions and training that reduce the threat from internal and external sources.
A successful candidate will be able to identify security risk, communicate and document security best practices, and effectively challenge legacy mental models. They will be able to provide consultation on security best practices for internal and customer facing projects and will develop, implement and maintain security programs for the Molex Digital Operating Model. The ability to learn quickly and then execute is vital to this candidate’s success.
A Day In The Life Could Include:
(job responsibilities)
Analyzes and makes recommendations to improve network, system, and application architectures
Manage internal vulnerability program through patch compliance, penetration testing, and web application scanning.
Implements cyber security solutions for organization systems and products that comply with all applicable security policies and standards
Ensure our standards and documentation provide the proper guidance and governance to produce secure solutions and infrastructure
Works with IT and internal and external business partners to ensure that security is factored in the evaluation, selection, installation and configuration process of hardware and software
Review and recommend improvements for existing processes to improve our security posture
Be a trusted advisor to the other Molex Technology teams and our business partners
Be an MBM culture carrier and advocate in your daily interactions and work.
What You Will Need To Bring With You:
(experience & education required)
5+ year of IT experience including
a) 3+ years experience in
a. performing penetration tests,
b. securing network and perimeter infrastructures
c. working with and securing endpoints
d. working with identity and access management
e. performing design/build/support activities in AWS
b) 4+ years of work experience in Information Security
Understanding of database functionality and security
Understanding of DNS security
Knowledge of Zero Trust theory and solutions
Experience in communicating and leading discussions regarding technical solutions or problems to varying levels of the organization
Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, Dynamic Host Configuration, Domain Name System (DNS), and directory services.
What Will Put You Ahead:
(experience & education preferred)
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Any other Degree
Vendor neutral security certifications (CEH, CompTIA Security+)
Knowledge of ICS/OT Security
Experience with local and wide area networking along with industry certifications (CCNA)
Knowledge of security best practices as they relate to software development, cloud environments, and networking
Cloud Security certifications (AWS Security Specialty, AWS Cloud Practitioner)
Experience in Azure and/or GCP
Knowledge with IoT devices and development
