We’re looking for a Senior Analyst to join our customer and retention focused analytics team.
We’re looking for someone with a passion for analysing big data to uncover value for our customers and driving those insights into actions with our colleagues and partners.
About the team
The customer data team is a newly expanding team of specialist data roles, we are responsible for optimising core customer metrics such as retention rate and customer value. On top of this, we are responsible for supporting a variety of teams including the eCRM function of the business, Customer Portal and Customer Support by assisting with reporting and optimisation of these functions.
We enable data driven decisions that enhance customer experiences and improve business performance. Partnering closely with the Technology, Product, Marketing, and Finance teams, we answer key questions about product adoption, customer engagement and customer satisfaction. We’re focused on maintaining our nimble, agile and entrepreneurial culture while still being committed to growing our business, and hiring the best talent to help us on our journey.
About the role
You‘ll help promote an ethos of data-informed decision-making in the customer and retention team by:
Visualising – Developing and maintaining dashboards to give accessible answers to commonly asked questions, especially around key performance metrics.
Investigating – Supporting our stakeholders by providing timely expertise and analysis of our data that helps tell a coherent story
Enabling – Providing training guidance and support on how to query and understand data to improve overall analytical capability and autonomy across the business
Optimising – Working closely with key stakeholders and other analysts to proactively recommend improvements in how we engage with our customers as well as how the team operates
Requirements
The ideal candidate
You’re self-directed, passionate about data, and focused on delivering the right results.
You have previous experience of working within a customer focused area/team to provide insight into their customer base and are familiar with ECRM/ CRM tools.
You can apply programming acumen and use a breadth of tools, data sources and analytical techniques to answer a wide range of high-impact business questions.
You understand product strategy and business goals, and can present your insights in a concise and effective manner.
You have excellent technical aptitude and programming skills. You’re also an effective communicator, capable of independently driving issues to resolution and communicating insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
You’re experienced in developing and maintaining your own data sets from source data.
A degree in a mathematical or analytical subject is highly desirable. Experience in partnering with business teams to develop metrics and related insights is a big plus.
Skillset
Essential:
Proven experience of developing/refining/ utilising customer segmentation to improve customer related metrics e.g. retention rate
Good knowledge of A/B testing, Hypothesis testing and significance testing for campaign optimisation
Experience of working within a CRM function
Proficient SQL user
Extensive experience with Business intelligence tools for developing dashboards and data sources, and for use in diagnostic analysis. Preferably Tableau but others will be considered.
Ability to understand, translate and map business and product questions into analysis projects.
Ability to influence diverse audiences and build strong partnerships with stakeholders.
Desirable:
Experience with modelling customer lifetime value
Python
Experience of working in an Agile team
Experience of working with the Databricks analytics platform
Experience of working with Google Big Query & Google Analytics
Knowledge of cloud computing and data storage concepts
