Job description:
The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for working to develop, design and own technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The Service Now Developer will provide administration, application development, maintenance, and technical support by using good practice web programming techniques to configure robust solutions to the client utilizing the ServiceNow platform.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Successfully plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all technical tasks related to configuration and implementation of all aspects of the ServiceNow platform.
2. Provide software coding and customization including, but not limited to: screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, scripting, third party software integrations, and custom application development
3. Update and maintain a comprehensive testing protocol for ServiceNow instance upgrades with the purpose of certifying all applications for use after the upgrade completes.
4. Coordinate and solve complex technical data and transformation issues.
5. Obtain and analyze/interpret business requirements to purpose sustainable solutions in ServiceNow.
6. Answer “how to” technical and application configuration questions.
7. Develop, maintain, and execute reports to ensure system operation meets performance targets.
8. Create and maintain system design and operations documentation.
9. Complete other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
B.E/B Tech (preferably Computer Science/Electronics/Information Technology)3 years of demonstrated experience in ServiceNow development, configuration and administration, including but not limited to successful deployments.Design and delivery of technical solutions based on the ServiceNow platformEffectively manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail on each project.
Adaptable to change and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem analysis skills to include the use of mathematical concepts to validate results.Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, disseminate, and present significant amounts of information with an attention to detail and accuracy.
Clear and concise communication with superior written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external business partners.Manage and prioritize work effectively with minimal supervision.Experience with development and implementation of ServiceNow ITSM modules – Incident Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management or other ITSM application.
Experience with extending the ServiceNow schema to custom applications
• Understands technical and functional design requirements related to ServiceNow. • Create and manage scripts and workflow
A fundamental understanding of ITSM, ITIL or CMDBGenerating detailed documentationDevelop the application including configuration, report development and data migration, where applicableProvide best practice insights when working with customersAbility to translate user requirements into technical requirementsAbility to make solutions recommendations based on user requirementsIntegration of components (Rest, Soap, Inbound/Outbound API’s)Fully test any new defect /enhancement update in a higher instance
