The Corporate Technology (CT) organization develops products and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including but not limited to Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, and Legal etc. We are embarking on a modernization journey by incorporating emerging technologies such as data science, machine learning, big data, cloud, and cyber-security into our product portfolio. Our teams leverage such technologies to develop and refine the tools considered most essential to our users who have complex, fast-paced, informational overloaded jobs, within an already complex industry. Therefore, the tools we design must add value while adding minimal complexity. To do our job well, we utilize creative design-led techniques to help us break through the industry jargon and bureaucracy and find insights that others can’t.
We are actively seeking an energetic Associate to join our group. We are looking for an individual who can create a user centric product strategy and drive design delivery capabilities for client-facing applications. Our Product Design team sits within the Corporate (CT) Technology organization and partners with the product owners to ensure that the products that we create follow the user centric design principles from the inception phase itself.
The ideal candidate is, above all, a maker and enjoys balancing craft with the following skills and interests:
Mandatory Skills:
10 to 15 years of experience in the IT industry
Technically strong on Java/J2EE – SpringBoot, RESTful API, Angular
Sound knowledge and hands-on experience on one or more programming / scripting languages.
Expertise on various SCM, build and deployment tools (CI/CD), code scanning and testing tools
Experience of implementing Agile methodologies and best practices for efficient delivery of applications
Proficient in collaborating with various teams and stakeholders with strong customer-focus mindset
Ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions to problems, proactively looking for ways to improve processes & procedures and identify/recommend new ideas for process improvement
Experience in project-based and team-focused working practices
Ability to continuously look for opportunities to deliver beyond client expectations
Proactively keep manager and team members informed of status, issues, and risks including key dependencies and timeline / schedule impacts
Technical Skills:
Core Java, J2EE, Maven, GIT, JUnit Testing, and Web Services
Micro Services
Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, and Spring Security
Design Patterns
CI/CD
JavaScript, Angular, ReactJS, NodeJS, HTML, and CSS

Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Self-Starter & Highly Self-Motivated
Able to work independently as well as part of diverse team
