Job Description : AGL are seeking multiple mid and senior developers to join a major initiative. These are contract job opportunities with an initial duration of six months with a potential to extend for longer. The incumbent will display behaviours which reflect and actively demonstrate alignment to the AGL Values of: Care in every action, Integrity always, Better together, Deliver your best, Shape tomorrow.
Key purpose of this role (and team)
The software developer is responsible for the analysis, design, coding, testing and supporting of software solutions, while contributing to application architecture, continuous integration and deployment activities. They also work closely with the Platform Lead and solution architect to form and define solutions.
Your Experience
Proven relevant industry experience or demonstrated capability in similar role
Experience working in an agile team utilising the Scrum or Kanban methodologies
Previous experience working within the scaled agile framework (SAFe) is highly regarded
Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices patterns
Good understanding of test driven development, continuous integration, continuous delivery and building high quality solutions
Our Technology Stack
We use Azure DevOps (VSTS) for CI/CD orchestration
Github is our source control platform
We use Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
Frontend Web Development
We use Angular2+ as our Single Page Application Framework
Some technologies we use are HTML5, CSS3, SASS and Typescript
API Development
Our APIs are hosted in Azure
Some technologies we use are C#, ASP.Net MVC, Web API, SQL Server and XUnit
Some Azure services our APIs are built on: App Service, Functions, Storage, CosmosDB
We use Azure API Management as our gateway
To assist with complying with applicable law, AGL’s COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, and managing the risks of COVID-19 in the workplace, AGL requires all employees and contractors to be fully vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccination as soon as possible and by no later than 28 February 2022 (subject to medical exemptions). This requirement applies to all workgroups, including workgroups where AGL employees and contractors are currently attending the workplace and workgroups currently working from home who will return to the workplace when circumstances permit. Some workgroups will be required to be vaccinated earlier than 28 February 2022 based on government requirements.
