What You’ll Do:

Quark Software Inc. has an exciting opening for a Business Development Representative to join its sales development team. Ideally, the successful candidate will have proven experience and success in a B-to-B software sales development role, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, great listening skills and the discipline to relentlessly maintain high call volumes and pursue opportunities. The key ingredients to success are motivated individuals looking to establish themselves in software and cloud sales with a world class sales organization.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Generate new leads in SMB and Commercial Segment for the sales organization to pursue.
Qualify prospects against established criteria prior to passing them to sales reps.
Receive pre-determined target companies and locate and identify the relevant individuals by telephone, email, LinkedIn and other sources.
Provide qualitative feedback to the marketing team on messaging, qualifiers, competitors, and other market dynamics uncovered in the course of prospecting.
Track and manage prospecting, qualification and nurture activities in the company’s Sales Force Automation platform.
Experience in Account based marketing.
Run email campaigns by personal and solution.
Generate Sales Qualified Leads to be handed over to SMB team.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

B-to-B experience in lead generation and selling to SaaS products is preferred.
Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce.com and Microsoft Dynamics.
Prior experience working in an industry with significant volume of customer/prospect interaction.
2 to 6 years of prospecting experience calling into senior decision makers or a recent college graduate that is ambitious, interested in a sales career with a strong desire to learn.
Prior experience prospecting for SMB and Commercial segment for SaaS products is beneficial.
Strong verbal and written communication. Fluent English required.
Ability to actively listen to assess prospect needs and opportunities.
Experience with existing and emerging social media tools to monitor targeted accounts and prospects.
Discipline to maintain high call volumes and email campaigns (minimum 60 outbound calls per and 60 emails per day).
Knowledgeable in telephone selling techniques and best practices is preferred.
