Job Description : Commercial Banking (CB), one of J.P. The Global Services Finance & Business Management, supports our partners with the best-in-class data reporting, business insights and analytics program, focused on optimizing operational performance, enabling continuous improvements in planning, efficiency, service and controls for all key operational functions within CB. This is a high-visibility role with direct interaction and partnership with various senior executives within the bank.
CB – Data Analytics Senior Associate will join the Reporting and Analytics team within Finance & Business Management, leading strategy and execution of business reporting and analytics program. The successful candidate will learn core business processes and develop all people, process, and technology components required to support a best-in-class program. Additionally, the candidate will support in development of ad hoc analysis and presentations for Senior Management.
The ideal candidate should have:

Experience in participating and providing valuable inputs from complex quantitative data driven efforts to drive business development in support of operations
A strong passion for data with the ability to drive analytics capability development using advanced data techniques and statistical methodologies
Strong communication skills and the ability to distill information and results into simple concepts and actionable insights for a variety of audiences

Primary Responsibilities

Deliver data insights, business value and recommend next steps to senior stakeholders
Define, monitor, and report key managements metrics around the health of an operations program
Manage a high-volume and high-complexity reporting & dash boarding book of work, leveraging rigorous project management discipline
Partner with senior leaders in advancing the business analysis and reporting agenda, focused on insights delivery in areas around operational efficiency, cost modeling, capacity planning, quality enhancements, etc.
Define, design, and drive high priority strategic initiatives with senior level visibility in areas above – ranging from delivering business initiatives to engineering enabling capabilities
Develop a deep understanding of systems and processes in order to extract insights from existing data while identifying and recommending IT enhancements to improve data quality
Develop strong partnerships with IT application owners and data management teams to align on a roadmap for continual improvement while providing support around in-flight projects

Qualifications

7 to 10 years of experience, preferably in financial services or commercial banking
Ability to understand business problems/processes and design solutions/methodologies that are rooted in data
Need hands on experience with
Programming languages, e.g., SQL, Python, R
Analytical tools, e.g., Alteryx
Knowledge of Distributed file systems, e.g., Hadoop, Hive
Data visualization tool like Qlik, Tableau
Ability to design and execute repeatable and scalable data solutions (extraction / mining / modeling / visualization)
Effectively communicate insights/recommendations (verbal and written)
Exposure and experience with designing and building machine learning algorithms
Team player with a demonstrated strong work ethic.
BE; advanced study / engineering background / quantitative focus a plus
Experience in Service Now & JIRA a plus
