About the role
Reporting to the Manager, SIMG Department the Coordinator, Specialist Assessment will perform a vital role in the assessment of specialist international medical graduates wishing to pursue a surgical career in Australia and New Zealand. The successful candidate will provide support and guidance to applicants, undertake extensive review of complex applications to ensure all relevant documentation has been provided, assist with the coordination of interviews and maintain accurate and up to date records in relation to applications.
This role will be offered on a 3 or 4 day per week part time basis on a 12 month contract.
Skills and experience
Prior experience in administration in either a medical or educational environment
An understanding of the particular attributes of membership based organisations and the medical education sector
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills in order to liaise with individuals from diverse backgrounds
High-level organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet competing deadlines and perform tasks in a timely and efficient manner
High level proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Applications and Zoom
High attention to detail with the ability to think laterally
