Job Description : Lyst offers a unique opportunity to work on a premium shopping platform, which is both a trusted partner to the world’s leading fashion brands and a global consumer-facing product. Over 160 million people use the Lyst app and website each year to shop an assortment of 8 million items via a highly personalised experience. Lyst is a scale-up environment, combining an agile mentality with a proven business model and over a decade of experience. This provides a balance between foundations and structure, and autonomy and pace. Our goal is to be the category-leading destination that every fashion shopper uses to decide what to buy.
Data and technology sit at the heart of everything we do, and we firmly believe that we can only meet our goals by prioritising our team and culture. We give our people the freedom to drive impact and shape the future of our company, within a diverse, inclusive and high-trust environment. We don’t rely on prescriptive rules, policies and procedures to drive results. We trust the judgement and ownership of our team, and prioritise learning and career development, knowing that our success is only possible thanks to our people. Lyst was founded in London in 2010 and has raised over $160m from leading investors including Accel, Balderton, Draper Esprit, Fidelity International, and LVMH.
Customer retention is at the heart of Lyst’s mission to become the world’s number one fashion shopping platform, so we’re looking for a Director to lead our lifecycle and CRM activity and help accelerate member revenue growth. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will lead a multi disciplined team of Engineering and Marketing experts to deliver best-in-class messaging strategy and tactics at scale.
Responsibilities
Lead and own the strategy and performance for all Lyst messaging channels (Email, Push, In-App messages) and the lifecycle messaging for our members.
Think deeply about lifecycle messaging and helping more customers experience more value more often.
As a seasoned growth expert, you will work closely with Product Managers within App, Web, Checkout, & Supply tribes to:
Use analytics and insights to identify areas of opportunity where messaging tactics could facilitate member education, increase usage or frequency of the product, and grow member revenue, in order to hit quarterly and annual growth goals
Prioritise these opportunities based on highest estimated impact to the appropriate metric (in some cases, you will define this metric) and balancing the tradeoff between impact and execution efforts
Work with Engineering to implement experimentation within the Braze platform
Regularly track performance of all channels, and the short and long-term impact they have on member retention and member LTV
As a seasoned marketing expert, you will work closely with Brand and Design teams to:
Define the positioning of Lyst’s products
Ensure all messaging is clear, consistent and on-brand, within all of our products and various marketing channels
Hold teams accountable to these messaging standards
As a seasoned leader, you will be expected to:
Support our Senior Braze Engineer(s), helping with QA and testing of campaign functionality when needed.
Hire and manage additional marketers to support areas of the product or business, as and when needed
Ensure that the team, and wider company, understand and are excited by the customer marketing mission and strategy, by regularly communicating out successes (or failures)
Requirements
Strong track record of delivering revenue growth through re-engagement marketing tactics.
Extensive experience working with CRM platforms — Braze experience is strongly desired.
Experience working with highly personalised, dynamic and complex data to power campaigns in the past.
Highly analytical, with experience analysing trends, experiment results, and building reporting from scratch (experience with Looker & Amplitude are a plus)
Deep expertise in email and push channels — you will be expected to stay ahead of the curve across all messaging channel innovations and developments in the market. If there are new customer marketing channel opportunities, we expect you to be driving that agenda.
Willingness to roll your sleeves up and be hands on.
Comfortable working in an Agile way with Product and Engineering colleagues (building process where necessary).
Have an all round marketing, and industry knowledge and commercial understanding.
Have worked in an environment which is fast paced and performance focused.
Proven ability to continuously communicate/influence longer term strategy with peers and leadership is crucial.
Confident in setting and reviewing metrics and measurement frameworks
Able to deliver under pressure and can motivate themselves to keep on going that extra mile day in day out.
What we expect at Lyst from a Director, Lifecycle & CRM
Responsible for delivering commercial targets, Lyst expects double digit growth YoY (Our forecasts are a minimum and not a target).
Comfortable prioritising for impact when delivering long and short term marketing objectives
Work with other owners/senior leadership around the business and disciplines to ensure squad is updated with necessary information to deliver goals
Understand and advise on cause and effect of known shifts in the landscape supported by quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Comfortable working with Product Managers and Engineers to help guide technology development
