Job Description : Job Function:
Develop Water business in the assigned region(s) along with National Sales team to increase SE’s SoW and market presence in that region(s)
Segment representative in the regions to drive strategic initiatives, including smart water, EAE etc
Identify, communicate and organize on training and upskilling need of National Sales associates working with water customers
Major Responsibilities:
Water Business Development in assigned regions (~60% of time):
Develop a 3-year growth plan in your assigned region(s) based on market opportunity, key influencers and end users
Develop a plan to cover entire ecosystem including consultants, process OEMs, EPCs, Electrical contractors, panel builders, system integrators, and End Users
Ensure buy-in from internal stakeholders (Prescription team, BU marketing teams, National sales teams) to execute the growth strategy
Own growth target for the assigned region(s) and achieve the annual sales KPIs
Closely work with national sales team for developing and executing annual business plans for the assigned regions
Map out leads (Projects under execution, projects proposed etc.) and work with the NS team & other stakeholders to increase the win rate
Ensure early engagement and participation in opportunities, including prescription, bid to bid support etc
Manage and maintain pipeline and Win / Loss reporting discipline and accuracy in the designated system (Currently bFO)
Segment representative in the regions to drive strategic initiatives, including smart water, EAE etc (~35% of time):
Use consultative sales process to drive strategic initiatives with customers in assigned regions, including Aveva Software, Aquadvance Software, EAE etc
Seek the support of Water Solution Architect and wider internal ecosystem to drive a sustained campaign for these strategic initiatives
Plan and lead marketing activities in the region along with the segment leadership and marketing leadership
Identify, communicate and organize on training and upskilling need of National Sales associates working with water customers (~5%)
Identify specific training needs of national sales associates in assigned regions, including on software, new initiatives, sales pitch etc.
Organize these training in consultation with segment leadership
Ensure the teams are trained on value prop, key offers, solution capabilities etc.
Educational background, competencies and behavioral aspects:
Essential
Engineering degree -Electrical/Electronics or A graduate degree in Environmental Science
Candidate should have sales, business development or marketing background. Solution sales experience would be an added advantage
Ability to structure thoughts and articulate well
Ability to plan, prioritize and re-orient self when plans need to be changed
Ability to pursue multiple stakeholders in collaboration with respective internal teams is a must
Ability to consistently connect with senior management and CXOs of the customer organization, including government customers (CEOs, Commissioners etc.), is a must
Patience is a virtue, due to the long lifecycle of project and plenty of variables which makes things very unpredictable. Should be self-motivated to carry oneself through any situation.

Understanding of Water process and industry knowledge is a plus
People person, as the job largely involves working together with national sales reps of different experience levels from his / her assigned regions
Desirable
Post-graduation in business management (PGPM / MBA) Or a PG in Environmental Engineering will be an added advantage
Background in pursuing projects (Esp. Automation and Software) for WWW utility (Direct or indirect), or any process industry is desirable
Understanding of Water process and industry knowledge is a plus
