What this job involves

You’ll join our Project and Development Services (PDS) business. Your focus will be on implementing & delivering measurable change that will enable our people to be more productive, reduce risk, and strengthen governance, compliance and access insights.

As RPA Developer, you will assist in driving business process automation to replace manual handling in order to streamline processes and increase efficiency throughout the wider business. You will be responsible for:
Designing, building, testing, deploying and maintaining automated solutions meeting business requirements
Developing the code adhering to solution design and architecture, quality standards, and best practices
Understanding a business process from a workflow diagram and conceptualize it as an automated solution
Monitoring and working on solving issues on day-to-day basis in RPA processes
Troubleshooting & problem-solving skills with a technical mindset

To be successful, you will have 2-4 years’ experience working with robotic process automation tools such as Automation Anywhere (preferred), UI path, MS Power Automate or Blue Prism. Prior experience working with SQL is preferred but not essential.
The Digital Ops Delivery Team aspires to create value and improvement through automation. The role of RPA Developer exists to support, manage and improve automated solutions. The RPA developer will work with partners and internal business teams to design and deliver automated solutions for their businesses, thus helping to increase efficiency and optimize the cost of operations. The role will also be required to support and maintain robots once in production including problem analysis and root cause investigation.

Skills & Experience
Solid technical experience in an IT programming development environment with evidence of the ability to complete functional and technical designs, code, unit test and documentation.
Commercial experience using a Robotic Process Automation tool.
An understanding of the Robotic Process Automation vendor landscape.
Proficient in an alternate programming language to RPA, e.g. .NET, C#. You may come from a .NET/Java background with recent experience in process automation and business process improvement projects.
Knowledge of html and JavaScript
Experience with one or more scripting languages (python, perl, powershell, bash, vbs, etc.)
Experience with version control and distributed version control tools such as Subversion, Git
Good understanding of technology and architecture concepts.

Personal attributes that include:
Strong analytical mind, with a proven record in working in an automation environment
Ability to deconstruct complex concepts and processes to communicate to all levels of the business.
Recognised process improvement qualification and some experience in applying continuous improvement using LEAN methodologies will be good to have. Ideally, Lean Six Sigma Green belt certification.
High attention to detail, to understand the business needs across industries.
