National Gallery Singapore is a leading visual arts institution which oversees the world’s largest public collection of Singapore and Southeast Asian modern art. Situated at the birthplace of modern Singapore, in the heart of the Civic District, the Gallery is housed in two national monuments – City Hall and former Supreme Court – that have been beautifully restored and transformed into this exciting 64,000 square metre venue. Reflecting Singapore’s unique heritage and geographical location, the Gallery aims to be a progressive museum that creates dialogues between the art of Singapore, Southeast Asia and the world to foster and inspire a creative and inclusive society. This is reflected in our collaborative research, education, long-term and special exhibitions, and innovative programming. The Gallery also works with international museums such as Centre Pompidou, Musée d’Orsay, Tate Britain, National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo (MOMAT) and National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA), to jointly present Southeast Asian art in the global context, positioning Singapore as a key node in the global visual arts scene.
In 2020, the Gallery was the only museum in Southeast Asia that received a ranking in The Art Newspaper’s annual global survey of attendance at art museums, taking 20th place. It was the first museum in Asia to receive the Children in Museums Award by the European Museum Academy and Hands On! International Association of Children in Museums in 2018. The Gallery also won the awards for “Best Theme Attraction” at TTG Travel Awards 2017, “Best Attraction Experience”, “Breakthrough Contribution to Tourism” and “Best Customer Service (Attractions)” at the prestigious Singapore Tourism Awards in 2016 for its role in adding to the vibrancy of Singapore’s tourism landscape.

RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, the candidate will join a dynamic team of marketing and communications professionals responsible for continually growing the awareness, preference and visitorship for National Gallery Singapore within Singapore and internationally. This position will lead in the creation of digital content across the Gallery’s digital touchpoints especially social media channels. The successful candidate will support the development and execution of the Gallery’s social content strategy as well as drive the content for the Gallery’s on-site digital touchpoints.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Integrated Marketing team members and supervise social content agency to develop and enhance the Gallery’s content strategy to increase the follower base and deepen engagement of the Gallery’s social media communities. These include but are not limited to FaceBook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube and WeChat.
Drive the creation of appealing and creative digital content through supervising the Gallery’s social content agency to craft social media with the objective of growing follower base and improving visitor engagement to support the Gallery’s social media strategy. The successful candidate will collaborate with Integrated Marketing team members and other internal stakeholders to develop and edit a range of social media content to engage target communities and improve visitor engagement.
Work with the Digital Ecosystem and Integrated Marketing teams and other internal stakeholders to gather, create and curate content for the Gallery’s distinct visitor journeys and ad hoc projects across key and new digital touchpoints. Drive the development and operational refreshment of content for digital touchpoints especially Website, Progressive Web App (PWA), digital on-site self-service options and wayfinding.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure campaign assets, artworks and product images for Categories of Interests, Venues, Visitor Itineraries and other feature modules are correctly produced, used and represented.
Simple digital editing, photography and videography skills to create content. Occasional writing of social media posts may be required.
Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication 2-3 years of digital communication experience for digital channels required.

Track record of successfully growing communities and increasing engagement across key social channels expected.
Ability to derive insights from analytics data to increase follower acquisition and deepen engagement essential.
Initiative with strong project management skills. Ability to multi-task.
Good analytical skills with problem-solving aptitude.

Keen interest and knowledge in arts and culture.
Qualifications
Diploma/Degree with specialization in one of the following areas: Marketing, Business Communications preferred.
