Right now, we’re recruiting for a Senior Service Designer on a 2 year fixed term basis.
About the team
Service NSW has recently commenced a program of work to improve the customer experience and application process of various electricity and gas rebates. The role includes working with agency and various stakeholders, including customers, assessment teams and energy retailers. This is an opportunity to drive a large research project and see it through delivery. The cross-functional team consists of a Product Manager, Product Designer, Delivery Lead, and Engineers.
As a Senior Service Designer at Service NSW, you’ll:
Maintain a customer-centric approach to improving service based experiences with the use of a design-led process of discovery, framing, iterative development and delivery
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements based on customer needs, identified pain points and opportunity areas
Create innovative, design-driven solutions that align to customer expectations and collaborate with product designers to continually enhance our product capability
Facilitate workshops and user research ensuring evidence and insights are documented and shared across teams to help inform the design of current, target, and future state experiences
Contribute to the development and use of design frameworks such as service blueprints to bring together research, design, business, product and technology
Provide guidance to more junior designers and support them in reaching their development goals
Balance competing demands, ensuring project timelines are met and product deliverables achieved.

Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at 114,429 base plus superannuation
Based on our current Work, Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, and in line with our Mandatory Vaccination Policy, it is a condition of engagement for a role within Service NSW/Department of Customer Service that staff be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
