This is an exciting leadership role inside a growing Adobe AEM practice. Manage and grow a multi-level team of AEM professionals helping them excel at the job and their growth as AEM experts.

The objective of this role will be to:

Drive higher productivity and quality amongst the team you lead
Clear issues and impediments to delivering quality code in a timely manner
Help formulate maturity standards to measure the quality across projects
Develop a set of coding and quality standard that drive higher project margin
Be responsible for the technical growth of your reports
Build a sense of comradery and community amongst the team
Drive ideas and innovation up and throughout the practice
Be able to setup the term goals for reports
Work with practice leadership to drive internal process and technical initiatives
Be able to review assignments for accuracy and quality in case needed

The responsibilities of this role will include:

Lead team providing mentorship, guidance, and direction to help drive productivity and innovation
Interact regularly with your team to understand tasks, issues, or challenges
Support your team as a sounding board for design and development ideas
Work with delivery leadership to ensure team is meeting expectations and to identify issues and needs
Work with other technical leaders in the practice to develop a set of best-practices for AEM implementation and development
Keep up on the latest and greatest AEM product developments and industry best-practice
Work with internal operations and training teams to elevate your team through the various roles in the organization
Work with project teams to ensure a high-quality of deliverable and help manage issues escalated from your team
Define and drive internal initiative for your team when they’re not allocated to customer projects
Use analytical skills to evaluate employee and provide management with information about individual employee performance.
Encourage creativity and risk taking among the team members when it comes to implementing new ideas
Responsible for preventing conflict if possible and helping to resolve conflict and miscommunication when it does arise

Requirement:

8+ years of overall industry experience working with Java, Java EE and Content Management systems (preferably AEM)
Understanding of Java, Java EE, combined with strong understanding of coding guidelines and best practices.
Played the role of lead for at least two years
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Strong Decision making and problem-solving mindset with the ability to delegate tasks in case of need
Proficient in Day CQ / Adobe AEM foundational concepts, including the use of core frameworks such as Apache Sling and Apache Felix, a solid understanding of all of the related building blocks including templates, components, dialogs, widgets, etc., and the Adobe AEM development and deployment process.
Proficient knowledge of the end-to-end content lifecycle, web content management, content publishing / deployment, and delivery processes.
Good understanding of integration patterns and content-centric application development patterns using Day CQ / Adobe AEM with or without a Portal, Search, Commerce package, or other platforms, is preferred.
Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM)
Experience in Adobe Campaign, Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target and Adobe migration project would be plus.

This role will report Assoc. Director, AEM and will be part of the leadership team of the practice. As such, they will be asked to assist in pre-sales/business development, managing our center-of-excellence solutions and developing the overall practice.
