Your new role

The User Experience / Customer Experience Designer delivers design prowess across Digital Product Design, Customer Experience Design and User Experience Design.

You will be proficient at helping Leads and Directors to scope proposals, creating hypotheses of mobile apps and/or web to present as part of the pre-sales process, supporting business development and planning, interacting with senior client stakeholders, working with other Product Designers and Experience Designers on engagements so we consistently achieve high quality outputs on time and within budget.

In this role you will work proactively to carry out the following –

Business Development

Support the creation of product hypotheses to pitch to clients – as part of pre-sales, project work and post go-live optimization of digital products
Support Leads, Directors and colleagues in Product Management and Technology with scoping of engagements
Support the creative aspects of sales pursuits, including: shaping and responding to opportunities, proposal creation, and client meetings.
Oversee and mentor mid-level Product Designers and Experience Designers

Research and Immersion

Assessment of existing sites/properties for usefulness, usability, visual design, content, and branding.
Preparation for and supporting the facilitation of innovation sessions that create business value for clients by improving features on their current apps/sites/platforms and other digital products.
Support participatory design/user testing sessions, as well as behavioral in-context and ethnographic research and lead client involvement in research.
Support the maintenance of relationships with key client partners.
Support best practice and help improve standards related to product design, design systems, interaction design and UX design.
Design user scenarios and/or customer journeys to best illustrate the current situation and opportunities for future solutions; ensure that scenarios respond to key user needs, best practices, trends and illustrate key business opportunities.
Create compelling representations of the solution/product design – including apps, sites platforms and more.
Create customer/user journey maps, user flows, affinity maps, information architecture/sitemaps, process/screen flows, wireframes at the quality needed to present to senior clients.
Support the planning and delivery of creative work (across all sub domains, including Product Design, Information Architecture, Content Strategy, and Interaction Design) that enables the development of a quality solution for large and complex projects.
Identify and demonstrate the tools, templates and techniques that evolve existing approaches for the design community at KPMG.

You bring to the role

A university degree or equivalent experience in a User Experience Design and/or Product Design-related discipline: Product Design, Interaction, Information or Interface design; Human-Computer Interaction; Design Planning; Graphic Design; Communications
Ideally 4+ years of industry experience in a well-established, high-energy, design/creative role with a consistent record of success in an agency, start-up and/or consultancy.
You have worked closely with Product Directors/owners and Technology Directors and/or leads in an agency/consulting-style environment
Well-versed in Product Design with a fast-paced, lean mindset (ideally honed from a background in agencies, consultancies and/or start-ups) and a strong appreciation of Digital Product Development and Management – with a solid understanding of product design methods and techniques (including, trends, best practice, iOS, web and iOS design guidelines, accessibility, synthesis, ideation, prioritisation, prototyping, testing and more)
Proficient in: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Visio, Microsoft Office, Sketch, Invision, Figma or similar.
Solid verbal and visual communication, story-telling, persuasion and writing skills, with experience presenting to all levels of clients and co-workers
Comfortable in a client-facing role and have project experience in working with teams on fast paced projects
