The mission of the Corporate Information Technologies Department (CIT) is to use technology to enable IFC’s strategic priorities and to support business and operations. By acting as the technology partner and business enabler, the department provides state-of-art IT solutions to support IFC’s operations.

We are looking for a highly motivated and versatile IT professional (Application Support) to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of highly skilled, diverse, and technical professionals and contribute to the IFC’s priorities. This position is based in Chennai, India.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Work with multiple IT, Business clients, and vendor contractors in a multi-vendor and multi-geographical environment to support and maintain IFC’s Client Engagement and Corporate Support Solutions applicationsEnsure that the business applications supported are maintained with defined standards, maximum productivity, and efficiency. Support the root cause and impact analysis of the issues and propose and validate fixes to address them. The applications leverage .Net, Java, Mule ESB, Pega, REST API’s and AWS/Azure cloud services among othersUnderstand business applications functionality and help the support team to resolve issues and improve application functionality and performanceManage application configuration and upgrades, issue analysis and resolution and implement the necessary changes to keep the application supporting the business functions as requiredWork with business users to improve application functionality, process improvements, and performanceMaintain records and documentation for all enhancements and provide support for internal and external auditorsMaintain multiple interfaces, data exports, and imports, and ensure the data exchange between systems is operationalManage and maintain SLA established with support vendors and escalate any issues to the program manager in a timely fashion.
Selection CriteriaBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or relevant fields with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2 years relevant experienceExperience in application development using .NET Framework or .NET Core and NodeJS from a solution perspective, involving COTS and bespoke developmentExperience in leading and maintaining application support teamsExperience in working in a multi time zone, multi-vendor environment is a plusExperience in agile development methodologies and DevOps practices such as Continuous Integration (CI) and automated deploymentUnderstanding of AWS or Azure cloud platforms
