Job Description : The Mastercard Shared Services group is on a mission to drive adoption and evolve our Consumer Data Management (CDM) Services. These are internally consumed capabilities that are the foundation for Mastercard’s product and service offerings globally. We provide a secure, unified source of Consumer PII/PCI data for all Mastercard products, allowing us to achieve a uniform view of a Consumer across all of our Products and Business platforms, to meet the needs of regulatory requirements. Our reusable API services allow us to manage the Consumers entire lifecycle from on-boarding to authentication so that Market facing programs can avoid having to do this development repeatedly and can focus on their core business services and capabilities.
The Mastercard CDM team in Pune is looking for a Manager to drive our consumer data management experience strategy forward through innovation and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset. As a group, we have a Lean-Agile focus on delivering the right solutions to internal and external customers with the highest quality in the shortest lead times.
Role:
This role involves managing a team of talented engineers to develop high performance, low latency, highly scalable Java based services. In this role, you will be responsible for:
Managing a team of Software developers and testers to develop quality software solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner
Managing the end-to-end delivery of engineering work, reporting out progress, ensuring dependencies are covered, overseeing the gaps between teams, processes, and systems
Successfully lead definition, development, and delivery of major cross-department initiatives with broad scope and long-term business implications
Provide technical, functional, and strategic leadership related to specific applications and systems, or software-development methodologies
Work closely with product, vendor and architecture teams on product definition, technical design, and overall execution for the team
Ensure team compliance to goal setting and performance appraisal process
Build and lead high-performing development teams and mentor junior teammates
Lead with an agile mindset and pivot fast and often as new information surfaces

The ideal candidate for this position should:
Have the ability to manage software development and delivery against agreed-upon technical and customer/market requirements.
Have knowledge and experience in managing technology projects and managing distributed teams from scrum perspective, have worked with 2-3 scrum teams with credibility to drive constructive discussions
Have the ability to motivate and energize a team to act towards achieving a common goal and the ability to improve oneself and others.
Identify areas where resources fall short of needs and provide thoughtful and sustainable solutions to benefit the team
Be skilled at explaining technical problems succinctly and clearly and can provide business context to engineers as required and competently represent your team’s systems to others both inside and outside the organization
Be a strong, confident, and exacting writer and speaker, able to communicate your vision and roadmap effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders
Always look for potential solutions to solve problems
Actively seek and participate in activities that stretch one’s existing skillset and adds new and more difficult capabilities for team members.
Encourage and use the strengths of colleagues to effectively deliver and innovate work approaches to constantly exceed expectations.
Use an evidence-based approach to provide constructive feedback to team members maturely handling the conversations towards positive outcomes.
Have the ability to effectively lead a team of developers and testers working on Java, J2ee, Springboot and Cloud technologies(PCF/Azure).
Be capable of effectively evaluating new tools, procedures, and compliance and project requirements to set priorities and create roadmaps for the team.
Excellent communicator and are comfortable communicating to all levels of the organization both in writing and in person
