Position Objective (Briefly state what the main purpose of what this position is responsible for).
The Service Engineer will be responsible for the successful piloting, commissioning and after Sales Servicing of Pall Food and Beverage systems. Service work can involve working independently for short periods of time in regional centers (remotely) throughout Australia, New Zealand & APAC. The role is hands on as a member of the Global Service Team. Many operations run 24 hours, this is a role that requires the incumbent to work flexible hours to ensure ongoing production capability of our customers. Provides support, training and mentoring to new/less experienced FSE’s as required to Support the Service Leader. Can provide temporary Service Leader admin support during periods of leave

Essential Job Functions: (Describe the primary tasks, duties and responsibilities associated with the position and actions that are required to perform in the role, be as detailed as possible. Is domestic/global travel required?) Please make sure you indicate the % of time spent on each activity – needed for pricing the position.
Responsible for piloting, commissioning, servicing of Pall’s Advanced Separation System Products within the food and beverage sector.
Training customers on correct operation of systems. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders of equipment at customer site regarding equipment status.
Responsible for testing, optimising and troubleshooting all systems hardware, which includes mechanical, electrical and instrumentation.
Responsible for troubleshooting PLC software and HMI software based on established designs.
Responsible for implementing and documenting system modifications under direction of Service Leader. Must document and convey modification details back to Service Leader
Responsible for generating and completion of Service Reports in a timely manner.
Responsible performing all services in compliance with applicable Pall, site and industrial safety practices.
Ensure timesheets are accurate before data processing;
Ensure Pall systems are serviced in accordance with Work Packages including Quality Control requirements, where applicable.
Ensure best practices are maintained to ISO 9001 and 14001 Standard;
Ensure mobilisation travel requirements for self to and from customers sites are performed;
Work with the Sales Team to achieve cohesive effort;
Develop detailed knowledge of Pall Systems through hands on involvement;
Assist with Service Estimating and Scheduling;

Minimum Qualifications: (List the minimum qualifications and experience this position requires. Only list those areas that are essential to this position. Be as specific as possible, i.e. Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, years relevant work experience).
“A” class electrician qualifications
PLC experience
Highly motivated to provide best in class service and support, with a strong capability to resolve problems through lateral thinking.
Provide “On-Call” support coverage
Must work as part of a team to achieve best result within resource constraints.
Position Competencies (include behavioral characteristics and leadership capabilities)
Must be capable of foreseeing and discussing issues associated with the operation/systems process
Sound time management with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Power Point
