Role – The Associate Director – User Experience and Design leads the compelling and creative experiences that strike a balance between the consumers’ intent and the business’s needs. Play the strategic role of aligning the product’s roadmap with consumer needs, thereby, creating balanced and elegant product solutions amidst constraints.

S/he will take on complex user problems and transform them into intuitive and easy-to-use designs. A champion of understanding business requirements, conducting user research, and translating this research into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, prototypes and finally into production. While doing so, raising the cohesiveness and overall User Experience throughout our product. The role is very hands-on with ownership of the strategic UX roadmap, that demands a solid background in the conceptualizing, designing, and creating first-class product experiences.

What you will do in this role
Apply best-practice product design principles to drive the development of new products & features to create an optimal user experience while factoring in the organization’s business model and user experience design concepts.
Deliver compelling UX visions, UI specifications, wireframes, and prototypes.
Lead customer research and apply insights to generate website and app experience that delivers customer delight.
Lead prioritisation discussions with leadership team, defining scope, timelines, and resource allocation, focusing both on the short term and long terms goals.
Impart day-to-day design leadership with different scrum teams.
Partner with product managers, developers, and business teams to deliver ideal user experiences which improve engagement
Steer product design team and encourage them to innovate continuously, solve complex design problems and deliver world class customer experience

What you should have

7+ years of product design experience in consumer internet products and technologies with 2 years of manging team.
Experience with all stages of user experience design from customer research to design, to validation and user testing.
In depth knowledge in product design, software engineering, human computer interaction and user-centered design combined with artistic design knowledge
Understanding of software development lifecycle and exposure to AGILE and SCRUM methodologies.
Experience in scale and managing multiple platforms with large user base.
Masters/bachelor’s degree in user interface design, interaction design, visual communication
Excellent problem-solving skills – coming up with simple solutions to complex problems
Team Player –the ability to drive consensus, leverage synergies from cross-functional team.
