The Finance Lead will be a member of the Functional Finance Team, an integral part of BCG’s internal Worldwide Finance organization, providing meaningful, insightful, and accurate financial support to help guide and influence the decision-making process. The team partners with the leadership of our Global Functions, senior finance management and local, regional and global finance colleagues across the organization.
The person in this role will primarily be responsible for Decision Support, Planning and Reporting for Global Services and WWI, as well as support cross-functional end-to-end reporting and several strategic initiatives, providing direct leverage to the Global Services Decision Support & Planning Director
The responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:
Owning and managing the planning process including communication of timelines, preparing, consolidating, and maintaining the budget files and plan summaries
Partnering with Workforce planning team to ensure an effective and coordinated plan for FTEs and compensation across GS and Digital Products
Ensuring alignment with overall Plan parameters by collaborating with Functional Finance team,
Digital Products team, Intercompany team and Global Analysis team to pull several scenario analyses leading up to Plan
Driving end-to-end functions reporting for worldwide BCG non-billable costs by working closely with stakeholders across Functional Finance team, global Analysis team and regions.
Creating leadership decks and Plan review materials to enable and influence senior leadership discussions across our non-billable costs (actuals and Plans)
Challenging status quo and pushing for reporting automation and innovation, and operational improvement, simplification, and optimization
Leveraging technical and functional expertise to support data requests and innovative analysis on data to influence future business decisions
Gaining a detailed understanding of BCG’s finance systems (Oracle GL, SAP Business Objects, HFM, AP), key metrics and parameters impacting the firmwide reporting
Leading and collaborating several strategic and cross functional projects
Sharing best practices within the team and contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results
YOU’RE GOOD AT
Finance/ Technical Skills
Strong understanding of finance concepts, management/financial reporting & analysis
Knowledge of data visualization & analytics tools (such as advanced excel, Alteryx, Tableau) necessary
Problem solving and analytical tasks
Being a thought partner to Functional finance team, creatively solving problems by bringing insights
Ability to structure hypothesis, build thoughtful analyses, develop underlying data models and bring clarity to previously undefined problems
Desire and flexibility to work through details with keen attention to accuracy and interdependencies
Comfortable working with ambiguity, complex and in an iterative environment
Communication, interpersonal and teaming skills
Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different time zones

Familiarity or willingness to work on Agile methodology will be a plus
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
Master’s degree in Finance or Chartered Accountant or equivalent
8+ years of relevant finance experience
Very strong problem solving & analytical skills
Excellent communication skills; written and oral
Flexible to work across time zones
Proven ability to work effectively in a global environment with people at all levels, preferably in a professional services organization
Strong finance knowledge of financials statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, etc.
Advanced computer literacy
Experience with and exposure to data analytics and business intelligence tools e.g. Alteryx, Tableau; advanced excel, building reports, and diagnosing issues
Prefer experience with Oracle applications such as Oracle Financials, HFM, Hyperion Planning
YOU’LL WORK WITH
The position is a member of the Global Services Functional Finance Team and falls under the direction of the Global Services Finance Director. The position is built around teamwork and meeting customers’ needs. The team works jointly on projects discussing output and issues, sharing hypotheses, and iterating analyses.
