Job Description : Cerner is excited to hire system engineer I for Shared Service Engineering team. As a System Engineer I, you will assist in the support of Enterprise Products like Closedstack, and Vulcan hosted on Kubernetes platform. This role is responsible for providing L1 & L2 product support. You need to manage the stability and uptime of IaaS products in relation to service-level agreements in place. A core function of this role is to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, which may require working with other expertise SRE, Development or Technology Architect. You will have the opportunity to work on products to improve automation, operation stability, and performance by researching new features and functionality. You will be responsible for ensuring product, configurations, processes, and jobs comply with published standards and policies. This team operates 24/7 coverage in 554 shift model. Communication will be a key component as you will be interacting with internal/external individuals at various levels concerning technical and non-technical issues related to Cerner’s Product hosted on infrastructure.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
At least 4 years of total combined related work experience or completed higher education, including:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering or related fields, or equivalent relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience on supporting automation product & unix based applications and databases.
Performance monitoring and resoling issues.
Ability to work assigned day or night schedule on 24X7 environments in 554 shift model.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in shifts on rotation.
Ability to Stretch work Hours if required for business.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application problems.
To engage subject matter expert SRE and Development teams or Technology Architect or Product Owner when needed.
Innovative, self-motivated, and able to interact with all levels of the organization.
Good Jira and Agile framework experience (working knowledge of Production systems) is an advantage.
Basic knowledge and understanding of DevOps tools will be added advantage during product support.
Hands on experience with monitoring tools like Newrelic, ELK to monitor applications logs and performances.
Demonstrates the ability to work on multiple products/applications simultaneously and prioritize work to meet adapting SLAs.
Performs troubleshooting as required and manage the day-to-day operations and document the issue and resolution along with learnings.
