Job Description : POSITION: Accountant OptiMed Health Partners is a rapidly growing healthcare company that provides specialty medications and infusions to patients through the U.S. We are focused on developing outstanding integrated solutions for patients, employers, providers, payors, and pharma. This ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting and operations, is highly organized, comfortable working closely with our Accounting Supervisor to handle day-to-day accounting entries and is passionate for helping others.The Accountant will perform daily, monthly, and annual accounting activities with an emphasis on account reconciliations, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.Primary responsibilities are:Prepare and record journal entries and accruals.Process daily cash receipts and bank reconciliations.Process invoices.Complete monthly client billings.Additional responsibilities include:Assist with the automation of manual processes to streamline the month end close process.Identifies opportunities to eliminate manual processes where applicable.Prepare annual review support schedules.Prepare state and local sales and use tax returns.Supports federal and state tax return requests.Competencies:Collaborative and creative thinking, with the ability to work effectively across departments.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.Technical savvy across multiple platforms.Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to plan and drive results.Critical problem solving.Minimum Qualifications BA from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related accounting experience and/or training within the healthcare industry, is highly desirable. Computer skills, including strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.Work Environment Fast-paced and collaborative, we are energized by the work we do and focus on building high-performing teams.Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk and perform work on a computer in an office environment.
