Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job

This position entails working on one of HUL’s most iconic brands. Lakme is the largest Color Cosmetics brand in India, with a strong footprint and leading market position. We leverage our heritage of category-creation & consumer understanding to create brands that every single Indian aspires to use. This is an exploding category and it will be imperative to keep building its positive momentum through relevant MDM as well as Innovation.

The position will be part of the team delivering this ambition for India. The line manager is co-located in Mumbai offering a direct and close working and training relationship.
Here is how your day at Unilever would look like:
Handle portfolio under the Lakme Colors range, be completely responsible for business delivery, identifying issues/opportunities and crafting strategy for growth
Develop an in-depth understanding of Indian market and consumers through regular market visits and CHVs
Responsible for understanding the brand penetration, distribution, offtake performance with the help of data
Lead channel discussions for key accounts of Modern trade and contribute to JBPs with customers. Accelerate omni (online) business through interventions across platforms.
Work closely with partner teams (BD, R&D, CMI, CD) to work on whitespaces and contribute to the creation of future innovation funnel
Independently plan and execute go to market strategy for 10+ innovations in the year – holding the networks together, leading the communication asset creation, media planning for digital deployment of assets across FB/IG/YT/OTT, sales channel deployment for overall innovation business case delivery
Create content for Lakme India Instagram handle (Photo Shoots, GIFs, Videos, etc) and anchor influencer marketing strategy for key products and new innovations
Key Skills & Requirement:
Master’s degree within Marketing or Business Administration.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
3-6 years of experience in marketing – ideally with exposure to e-Com/digital marketing
Strong Project Management skills, experience in leading cross-functional team to deliver projects
Understanding of customers and shoppers, experience in launch/re-launch of consumer and shopper relevant innovations
