Job Description : MCR is currently looking for an Associate Centralized Accounting Manager in our Dallas, TX office. This individual will be responsible for the assisting with accounting and reporting for the hotel entity. Reporting will be to the VP of Centralized Accounting.ResponsibilitiesAssist Centralized Accounting Manager (CAM) and Associate CAM with all normal month-end close duties for assigned properties including journal entries, bank reconciliations and other balance sheet account reconciliations.Review monthly general ledger accounts for accuracy.With the CAM, prepare monthly financials for hotel entity.Calculate and process various tax payment (including sales tax, occupancy tax, tourism tax) on a monthly or quarterly basis, as required.Perform daily banking functionsReview and post daily upload from property system.Review and approve daily flash reporting.Reconcile intercompany balances between all portfolios and parent company.Assist with annual audits by completing required audit schedules and supplying supporting documentation.Other tasks as required.RequirementsHave earned or be working towards a bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or experience in hotel month-end closing.3+ years of hotel accounting experienceKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Excel and Word.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.Must work with attention to detail.Ability to travel on an occasional basis.Strong work ethic.What We OfferWe offer medical, dental, and vision insurance to our team members401(k) Retirement plan – MCR will match a percentage of what you invest into your retirementPaid vacation and sick timeIncentive-based bonusesThroughout your career with MCR we will ensure your success by providing training and career growth opportunitiesOur CompanyIt all began in 2006 with three Value Place hotels.
