Job Description : The Client Tax Associate II for Tax Reporting and Withholding (TR&W) will provide concentration on the positioning of operational and strategic programs. The role will focus on the user community, and the effective controls required in a regulatory environment by implementing and monitoring process controls, data integrity checks, reporting, and departmental goals and objectives. The position assists the department manager identify process gaps related to department operations, year-end reporting, and legal and tax compliance issues and install related controls and enhancements to mitigate risk. The position will serve as the point of contact to internal and external business areas, ensuring all deliverables, testing, and reporting are done on time and correctly.
The core responsibilities of this position include:

Develop a keen understanding of the unique business needs and lead efforts for continuous process improvement opportunities.
Lead and execute enhancement initiatives in the form of business requirements, test plans, test cases, script execution, implementation and readiness preparations.
Serve as primary point of contact on all testing/validation responsibilities across TR&W
Provide clear/concise project updates in a weekly/monthly basis to business and management stakeholders.
Perform issue analysis and develop solutions to fix.
Assess impact of regulatory changes and develop/communicate required procedural changes to internal teams.
Responsible for required reporting /filing.

The Client Tax Associate II will conduct interviews with management or department subject matter experts to identify tax reporting gaps and opportunities for improvement. The Client Tax Associate II will recommend and implement solutions to ensure CCB TR&W is reporting within IRS guidelines. The role will also serve as a tax reporting subject matter expert to troubleshoot issues, partner with IT on projects, process improvements and test data quality across department landscape.
Qualifications:

Three years of experience in the consumer financial services industry
Four year degree preferred
Two years of experience in workflow/process analysis and documentation including business requirements and script writing is required
Two years of experience leading process improvement/project initiatives is preferred
Understanding testing methodology and proactively enforcing testing requirements is required
Strong knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management, MSP and Recovery One is preferred
Proficient MS Word, Excel skills are required. Experience with MS Project and SQL is preferred
Ability to participation in multiple projects either as a participant, test lead or project lead is required
A high degree of analytical ability and problem solving skills is preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to develop and relay an effective communication plan around projects is required
Ability to track and execute multiple tasks simultaneously is required
Ability to work independently and accurately while meeting deadlines is required
