Job Description : This organization inspires a passion for reading, advance literacy and supports library missions by helping K-12 and public libraries meet the diverse needs of their patrons, and fuel literacy and learning.This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day, monthly and annual operations of the accounting function and managing the accounting team. The Controller will have primary responsibility to ensure the completion of the annual financial statement audit as well as monthly reporting to debt and equity investors.The Controller will be a business partner to the operating segments and will collaborate with segment leaders and the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to provide comprehensive reporting and analysis, including financial and operational key performance metrics.This position is an important contributor to the Chief Financial Officer’s leadership team and will have regular interaction the entire executive team.Key responsibilities include: · Deliver monthly business unit performance reporting including variance analyses of financials and key performance metrics.· Ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly financial reporting package.· Provide extensive and thorough financial statement reconciliation and reporting.· Provide general business support to senior management and operations management.· Leading and implementing an Accounting Transformation to improve the performance to the department· Perform complex financial analysis and provide advanced reporting to investors and lending institutions· Consolidate financial information and financial statements and reconcile intercompany accounts· Lead budgeting and forecasting for the entity including completing advanced cash flow forecasting· Lead a team of 6 accountants and ensure the growth and development of the teamRequirements/Preferences: · Must have 5+ years of managerial and supervisory experience.· B.S. or B.A. Accounting; with CPA and/or public accounting experience highly desirable· Experience with acquisition due diligence and integrating acquired entities a plus.Benefits include: · Opportunity for a hybrid work schedule· Medical / Dental / Vision / Flexible and Dependent Care Spending· Short / Long Term Disability· Life Insurance· Volunteer day off program· Paid time off· 401(k) with company matchCompensation: Up to $160,000 based on experience.Job Type: Full-timePay: Up to $160,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayExperience:Accounting/Finance: 5 years (Preferred)Controller: 2 years (Preferred)working for a $50MM+ company: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
