We are committed to continuous improvement and have a robust system that incorporates ideas from those closest to the work.As the Controller, you will perform the bulk of the accounting work and oversee staff performing accounts payable, billing, and payroll work.You should be an individual who likes to take ownership of their responsibilities, be self-motivated with a disciplined and methodical approach to your work and be a team oriented.The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong working knowledge of inventory and product costing in a manufacturing environment.Work Schedule: Monday – Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.Wage: DOEApply with your Indeed Resume OR Fill out an application on-site at: 1730 NE Miller St. McMinnville, OR. 97128.Primary Purpose: Prepare monthly financial statements and a variety of other financial reports according to fiscal schedules and special requests. Ensure the accuracy of all financial information and related data. Monitor all accounting procedures and practices followed by the accounting staff to ensure timeliness and accuracy of information, and to maintain successful audit outcomes. Provide technical support to the accounting team and back-up critical accounting tasks within each function.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Statements/Reports Coordinate and support the entire accounting function, including: Cash Management, Accounts Receivable, Credit and Collection, Accounts Payable, Commissions, and Inventory Costing and TransactionsCoordinate the entire accounting cycle including general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliation, asset schedules, and account analysisProduce timely and accurate balance sheets, income statements and other financial reports following company procedures and timelinesAnalyze and track financial performance and provide timely feedback to managementCoordinate financial accounting and procedures with other divisionsPrepare other financial analysis reports as requested, ensuring accurate data and consistency of reportingMonitor the accuracy of financial information gathered by others to be used in the preparation of financial statements and analysisInventory & Product Costing Review product costing/margin analysis using current costing methodCalculate and maintain labor ratesManage and support internal inventory auditsAudits Interact with external accounting firm and auditorsPrepare timely responses to external requests in conjunction with financial and employee benefit auditsCoordinate work of other staff/departments to complete all audit tasks accurately and on timeEnsure that year-end audits/reviews reveal competent accounting practices in all areasTax/Other Regulatory FilingsComplete and file Property Tax reports accurately and on timeComplete all other regulatory reports and filings accurately and on time as necessarySupervisory This position has direct supervisory responsibilities for the three employees within the accounting teamCarry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
